Hello, my dear viewers and subscribers !
I have to tell you that I am very excited to be able to work with the OS FR5 300 "Sirius" engine, especially since this rare engine is great for a collection than for real flying, a very real treasure, very few have actually flown it. Today's video is about the first start of the engine, it is in "N.I.B." condition, i.e. it still needs to be run in, so do not judge strictly, I was frankly in a hurry.
The first discoveries appeared in the process of working with him, more about them in this video.

G5! wow... Mate I hope you realise the importance of the tests that you are documenting here on KZfaq. This information is absolutely gold. This is because nitro engines have all but been replaced in the the modelling community and therefore the traditional method of transferring this sort knowledge is hard to come by for people interested in using this sort of a power source. Keep up the good work mate and thank you again.

Thank you very much for your kind comment ! I really appreciated your ! I think, that RC internal combustion engines will still serve us and a lot of people, of course, being replaced by novelty electric motors technologies, but for sure, some modelers will continue to build copies, for themselves, for some aviation shows and competitions. For that market segment 2 &4 stroke RC engines will be absolutely necessary. I've never heard about some sound technology, which could imitate the nicest exhaust tone of our 4 strokers ! Love that prop and spinner combination! I run the Ramsover Varioprops on some of my radials. ( I have 2 FR-300s in my collection). I like to keep my radials around 5000 rpm. The adjustable pitch prop is nice for adjusting WOT. The hub is also very "scale" Enjoying your channel. Well done!

Thank you very much for your so high evaluation of my work, really much appreciated ! Trying to do my best. Unfortunately, there is very cold weather and I simply can't work with my engines on the yard, camera freeze, as well, me too...Waiting for some just simply better weather (higher than 0 Celsius). Same here. We are still flying her occasionally with temps around freezing. But watching more videos of other engine enthusiasts and mounting radials to airframes for the upcoming better weather. Cheers Aaron-

The "Sirius" is an iconic engine and I am glad to have the copycat Sanye version. As noted very briefly in this video, the exhaust sound is much better from the rear of the engine (for all engines truly) than from in front of it. I believe in glow drivers and such an engine as this benefits from have a good driver that works when the throttle is reduced. Nice to see you running this engine. I suspect we will see the FR7 making its debut on your channel soon. ;)

Thank you very much for your comment ! Definitely, there is a lot of work with this FR5, I've to learn its behavior much more in details, so it's still is under research. Regarding 7 cylinder Sirius FR7 engine, unfortunately, I don't have it, and it cost is so high, so it's still remain a kind of a blue dream 🙂

Thank you for your comment ! I'm still learning its habits and tricks, it still had a lot. I think, that it needs just a few hours more to run, for being more predictive 🙂Just few hours...
