Why are the two tachs giving different readings? Or, am I missing something?

The start at 2:03 was with the locking nut on.

Hello David! what a little lion! Thanks again for your GREATEST VIDEOS (great test videos). David, i have a MK III version of surpass 120 engine, the mk III has pump and a regulator integrated in the carb (70N) and i would like to ask you if you know what carb could i use to replace the stock one. I would like to eliminate the pump but i need then to change the carburetor to one without regulator. what do you think? Thank you David.

Unfortunately I am unable to help you. I really do not know much about the later version OS FS-120 engines. I do not believe that the intake manifold, back cover and carb from an older 120E would fit onto that engine. Replacement parts for older 120 Surpass engines are extremely hard to find as well. Best of luck in your search.

Hello David very nice video, I am rebuilding a 120 fs bud my camshaft followers or blokt inside I used different lubrication with no result. I am thinking now to use force to knock them out can i knock them from above to the downside? or is that imposibel can you give me some advice plz Krg Rob

Do you have the timing gear out? You cannot push them out with the timing gear in place. They just have carbon residue holding them in place. heat and oil should free them up.

Is it ever safe to use Nyloc nuts to prevent prop spin-off?

I have considered that in the past, but just never did it. Where would the fun be then? LOL Give it a shot if you have an engine that throws props often. What is the worst that can happen? Engine damage....?
