Hey Dave, what do you think of running a straight pipe on this engine instead of the goofy muffler? Or maybe an older saito type that is mostly straight through but has the nipple for the tank pressure?

I think it would be fine and sound good. All you can do is try it out. It certainly will not damage the engine. A huge part of this hobby is all about experimentation. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oKxhksKml9q2mqc.html

Hi David, thanks for a great video...I am just in the process of buying one of these engines for my new build project. Would appreciate your advice on break in, fuel mix and tuning...

Well the engine I had for a short time was not new. My recommendations would be to follow the manual as to fuel and break in.

What should one expect as a result of the "Pinch Test"? I didn't see or hear any difference when you did it.
