I love how it’s always the comedic actors that have the most fun when presenting an Oscar whereas other presenters just walk up, read nominees and announce winner and walk off. Like when Ben stiller did the best visual effects for 2006 he was dressed in a green screen suit pretending he was invisible 😂😂😂 and now will and Zach with the symbols 😂

I was concerned as to why there weren't four songs nominated a Oscar that year. But I'm glad Man or Muppet from The Muppets won the Oscar. Best song of the movie, alongside "Life's A Happy Song".

Life's A Happy Song should have been nominated. But Real in Rio and Man or Muppet are both wonderful songs. One of pure jubiliation and one of melancholy!

It was a tough call this year at the Oscars for this category! Those songs sounded great and just by looking at the nominees, Muppets and Rio still bring out the joy out of the kid at heart as well as the new generation respectively!

homieblossom because every year when they have to vote for deciding the nominees (not the final winner) the voters review the choices instead of voting for just one. The Academy nominates those songs which had a score of 8.5 or higher (the limit of nominees is 5). Apparently, this year only two songs made it to the nomination.

@@miqueiassv-6496 Na verdade o filme foi feito por pessoas de ambos os países, mas só o fato de ter Br - principalmente como o diretor do filme - já faz eles terem preconceito. Tanto que, um filme quase 100% Br ganhou o Oscar uma vez, mas foi para os EUA porque o diretor era americano. Também já aconteceu o oposto, o filme quase 100% americano, menos o diretor que era Br (que é o mesmo diretor de Rio) e novamente o prêmio foi para os EUA.

This is the right place to complain about how "Something So Right" wasn't nominated (not even shortlisted) in 2015. That song is amazing, showcases a big moment in the movie and out of context it talks about the anxiety before marriage brilliantly. Just Imagine how epic, would've been to see Miss Piggy performing with Celine Dion at the Oscars. A huge missed opportunity

Just look at Segel's expression at the end. I know a lot of Muppet purists complain, "oh stupid, insipid celebrity had to write this movie and destroy the Muppets." You know what, Segel as well as others involved did what they did simply because they loved the Muppets and wanted the world to celebrate Jim Henson's creations. The fact that Segel kept the hole that the rainbow connection tore through in the new movie is proof of that.
