We seem to be in a wave of new Napoleonic releases, thanks for highlighting this one

Great overview of these rules. Your comments have intrigued me enough to seriously consider purchasing them.

I played it at a convention a few years back while it was under development. It was fun and easy to play. You have to look past the scaling though.

These look good, not too complex, which appeals to me. Nice run through too.

A key factor is figure scale, i am assuming this looks like an army scale, with corps commanders commanding divisions. I am guessing each figure is probably 200-300 men and an element is 1/2 to 1 regiment, so a corp commander commands about 12-18 elements. However i am basing this one reference, where corps commander are mentioned. But its a bit unclear if the corp commander is the C-in-C or the sub-commander, i think its a sub-commander based on the scenario maps, so the player represents the army commander. If my guess is correct these look like a very interesting rules which hits my sweet spot and fills a gap in the market. If it was simply another set of rules where you command a corp i would give it a miss, i have enough of those. If it was a big-base set of rules where you command an army, like Blucher, i would also give it a miss as i have lots of those. Because its an element based army scale (player commands a multi-corps army) I will pick up a copy.

Can’t believe that there is no QRS in the rules or on the Osprey web site. Interesting rules, strike me in style as an expanded version of Harold Gerry’s rules

I have to admit I am a little baffled by the decision to include stuff like forming square in a game where each stand represents a division. Seems thrown in just because it's expected of Napoleonic games.

Well it's a good way to represent brigades going into square. I see it as a way of displaying the rough deployment of the units within the division, rather than the entire division forming one massive square

Are there points costs to building armies?

Thanl you for this video. My daughter has been playing Warhammer 40K for the last couple of years and as a Xmas present, I am keen to buy her a couple of 15mm Napoleonic armies from Museum Miniatures (French and British) and a set of rules for her to use. Would you consider these rules good for someone getting into historical wargaming? Also, does it give any example of what base size to use for infantry, cavalry and artillery in 15mm? If not, what would you advise?

How much is the size of the table for 15mm figure? The half of the one for 28mm?

Are these base removal for casualties rules? Or keep the whole unit on the board and track casualties with markers rules? Thanks.

No figure removal- I use an 8 -sided die to mark losses.

Unfortunately these rules were poorly edited and there are may questions about the sometimes ambiguous and poorly worded rules.
