Also, legit nobody cares about 1 - 10 coins, because most of us (at least some of us) use barbarian vial smashing and pot smashing because the vials and pots are so fucking annoying to dispose of during combat / farming. Even I leave any worthless loot on the ground that I see is less than 1,000 coins. Why I even care about 1,000 gp is beyond me to answer, but this proves my point that even 5,000 coins is nothing. OSRS money goes based off Old School Bonds and what they're priced at, and $8 is enough to buy a single bond. Bonds are worth 11.8m as of right now, and every 5,000 coins of a bond is worth less than a cent. So how this will wreck the economy if standard spells are slightly cheaper to use? How does a 4 gp rune affect the economy? Please explain, because no matter how much I read, whatever you're trying to say flies right past me; that's how little of sense it makes lmao.

No, learning all this gives you the most potential for 100% efficiency. But a player ignoring these changes will probably only have like 90% efficiency. And for anything you don’t know you can always look it up on the wiki which provides almost all the info you could ever need

Lmao, why are people so down on this update? Magic armor was so shitty before the update happened, now I bet 99% of players stop using proselyte as soon as they can afford better equipment. The occult was literally the best for everything, even better to have than the ancestral set (not moneywise). This to me is broken, considering that proselyte provides less magic accuracy and the spells still hit consistently. Plus, if you really think about it, what good is a 5% damage bonus gonna do you? That only gives you like a 2 - 3 extra max hit for magic. Without a Tumeken's Shadow, this additional percentage is worthless. Also, prayers like mystic might were worthless as fuck because they only increased your defense and accuracy. I personally do not think even a pair of gloves should surpass a set of armor, so if you hate this update, then good for you, because it's not getting changed.

The occult necklace is such a cheap item that it would've possibly devalued certain end-game gear in the future, causing them to be nearly worthless had the necklace never been nerfed.

If you're killing a monster with a weakness, which 99% you will be the spell, the monster your killing is weak to will be far superior, like night and day you use air when something is weak to air and use water if something is weak to water and so on look at the excel spreadsheet to know what is weak to what this made the standard spell book from being not that good to amazing

There should be a tome for every element and also the tomes don't just give infinite runes they give bonuses too, like water tome makes entangle more accurate and they are planning on bringing out an earth tome too

@@user-kc5qi2oy1j took me a while but I see what you’re saying. I was mostly concerned with all tomes giving 50% in PvP and ppl would just use an air tome as meta. Like you mentioned, they have different effects and only the fire tome gives the 50% damage boost. Fire surge is still meta for standard book for PvP. I’m happy people aren’t shooting rainbows and fire is still meta in the wilderness. Thanks

@@user-yp9wp4td4l I see but i think even if they did add the damage to each tome the fire would still have the highest base damage for pvp because players don't have elemental weakness unless they add that to certain robes, the tomes could be applied more practically with the new elemental weaknesses update for certain monsters like fire giants being weak to water ect I reckon which wouldn't apply to pvp

The entire point of this update was to make the mid and late game balanced so that way you're not having to sit down and use one weapon all the time to kill specific monsters. Also, ancestral has gone up quite a lot since the magic damage buff to the set, so buying it now would be incredibly stupid (unless you have billions and don't care about losing gp). Another thing is, how do you hate an update you hardly know much about? What if there was an update you never knew you'd enjoy and it turns out instead of hating it, it's your absolute favorite update? Think logically before talking shit about stuff.

They are trying to implement different combat styles like they have with melee and magic, that is the purpose of this update. They want to balance things out for not just the mid game, but late and end game as well.

Also, it already was broken because people kept hitting consistent zeroes and either ran out of supplies during a boss fight, or got one to two tapped by a player in PvP without any food to save them. Don't tell me that shit like this isn't broken, because it is. Plus, most magic armor in the game was completely useless for boosting magic damage, now most of the magic armor serves a purpose rather than just for accuracy towards spells. The standard spellbook was total dogshit that players would not even look at or think about using, but now it's amazing and probably sees its daily usage during slayer and other PvM activities. Believe me, I don't know what's going on with PvP, I've seen lots of complaints about it, but I think it is a glitch that Jagex is unaware of, and are probably going to fix as soon as possible. Autocasted spells are now cast immediately rather than having a 1 tick delay, and with the new elemental weaknesses, this leads to faster DPS overall if using the correct spell. Finally, there is no more braindead usage of a blowpipe / Bowfa with the Twisted Bow against most, if not all monsters, because now crossbows are actually beneficial to have in at least 1/3 of the situations requiring ranged. I'd say this update was absolutely needed, and whether you like it or not, Game Jam added it anyways. Game Jam says "fuck you" to the polls, and adds what they think is helpful to us players, and for that, I respect it.

And "broke" "Broken" same thing, Like I said, I don't mind the elemental damage buff, and I don't mind the occult nerf, I'm just a little annoyed at 3 more range styles implanted to every monster in the game that you have to take into account now. Bowfa and twisted bow were end game items that were suppose to be pretty op at bosses, and even through testing they still are. I did sara with my friends to see if it made much difference with the heavy and standard and bowfa was still top tier. (so yeah, maybe it doesn't matter as much anyway) Of course not counting the twisted bow. It sucks that they didn't poll this at least, letting the players decide if it was necessary or not, and the dragon warhammer drop rate increase was a big slap in the face for people and ironman who grinded for it for hours or days to get the d warhammer. You think players would of agreed to that? I don't. And increasing the drop rate at the nightmare boss to? Why? Doesn't make any sense. If you're going to increase a drop rate of an item, do it at least a month after release. Don't wait years and decide. "Oh, let's increase the drop rates now." what if they decide to do the same thing at corp? or all the raids? It's a slap in the face to players who grind. But out of everything, I think the drop rate increase pisses me off the most. Yes the elder maul needed a buff, and I don't mind it, being better than the dragon warhammer with it's special is fine because it's a raid weapon. The drop rate increase is what annoys me the most out of the whole update.

I also see what you're saying with the DWH drop rate increase, and to be fair, I was irritated by something else just as annoying. I struggled to a bitter end completing those Kourend Favor tasks to get them all to 100%, and then like a few months later, Jagex decides to make a poll to remove them. Of course all those dumbasses voted "Yes, remove it." It made me want to toss all my devices to a spiked metal wall, and then throw a pitcher of water at each of the smashed devices. So yes, I can understand why you'd be pissed off at the drop rate increases for the nightmare and shamans.

It's huge for all the other magic armor, but for ancestral, it should be 4% - 5% per piece, and virtus should be 3% per piece (stacking with the Ancient Magicks damage buff).
