@@ViciousLamp how so when 5man hm tob has a 25min timer which is easy to beat with plenty of time to spare? Pretty sure money runs at COX can be done in similar time. If not then CG is end level content which can be completed in less than 15mins

Personally I'd like to see Jagex experiment with items that can offer the slay helm dps boosts in item slots other than just the helmet slot, maybe something like a rare drop from a slayer monster or boss you can combine with your slayer skillcape to give it the offensive bonuses so you could instead take a faceguard to certain tasks but would still opt for slay helm for abby specs, banshees and the like, or perhaps something like a ring or amulet you can purchase from slayer masters for 10k slayer points after you have achieved level 99. (neither stacking with the slay helm nor salve ammy, and maybe they'd have to exclude void as well) I feel like offering this to players yet to achieve 99 would make people who have already done so refuse to allow others to have an easy time of things than they did. I'm sure there's lots of other things they could do as well but personally I've never liked the slayer helmet in osrs because it just blows every other helmet slot out of the water and there isn't a slayer helm recolour they could release that would make the item's silhouette not look like a dog's dinner to me.

While the fang will be better, at least salad blade will be beating fang in DPS at vard

They are paying the price for not nerfing the fang drop rate to help those late iroman. Now you have the best melee weapon at 23 milion and still dropping in price. For the new bosses, guess wich weapon maintain its dps with a shield instead if a defender?? Its the fang again. The only other weapon is a dinh shield, but the dps is much lower.

There are still plenty of places where non-stab weapons are better. The problem isn't the weapon type, at all, it's that all bosses have high defence so you don't want to move away from fang regardless. If new bosses come with lower defence, then fang immediately loses value.

@@GnomePuntTrainerYT I usually play iron and don't have a fang on there but yesterday one of my buddies wanted to try some pvm so I hopped on my main and bought a fang and some barrows gear so I could tank for him and we were downing general graador in like 4 seconds consistently, He was using a tent whip with 75 atk and 86 str... I was thoroughly disgusted and now have to reconsider if I even want to get a fang on my iron because it just feels so OP to me that using one would go against my own sense of integrity, I think that item is on par with if not worse than 6 hour afk NMZ in terms of players abusing jagex's mistakes.

You’re contradicting yourself big time. 70-110 combat, inquisitors, and dwh don’t belong in the same sentence. It will be fine with slash considering most mid game weapons are slash.

By saying “the target audience is 70-110 combat” is referring to the armour and weapons proposed by the barrows type activity, how does this have anything to do with Inquisitors? And just so you are aware, inquisitors armor has a very low defence requirement and a dwh has a mid level attack requirement? (Still not sure where you’re going with that). A lot of mid game weapons use all attack styles (again, not sure why you said they are mostly slash when they’re not?)

the fang already has very high accuracy because of it’s special effect, so this new offhand isn’t going to make the fang much more powerful, especially since it’s like 12 slash bonus over a defender at the cost of a str bonus

@@Magiaice ... Torva?? Bandos is already not relevant to endgame, but it IS a big midgame stepping stone that most players are in for a very long time. Replacing that with some pick and play barrows 2.0 armour with less defence (def rarely matters) that will be easy to farm out solo is a joke and affront to this game and absolute extreme noob appeasement. Go look up 6:0 bandos buddy, that is how ironmen get their strength legs and torso upgrade, which will all of a sudden be a colossal waste of time to get before torva and bandos will just be another "leave when you get the hilt" type of boss.

The bladed moon is absolutely busted

People who can play the game full time do forget things like that and often make extremely unreasonable demands due to not investing in many other talents or skills outside of osrs.

I think it's fine because it allows the community to adopt their own nicknames for the items while maintaining those items' unique name. If people can't pronounce it then that's a skill issue.

Definitely, an item that renders avernic irrelevant in virtually all 1h scenarios besides monsters overwhelmingly weak to crush/stab coming from Barrows 2.0 is just tragically out of place. Even more of an insult to the weaker bellator ring that comes from endgame content With its proposed stats it'd be neat if the 3 "shards" you have to combine dropped from CoX CM, TOB HM, and ToA 400+ raids.

Fang isn’t currently bis anywhere on slash as far as I’m aware (duke scythe is better, vardorvis axe bis), so I don’t really see the issue. It also has -1 str compared to a dragon defender, -3 compared to avernic.

@@nesunator dps calcs with bladed moon put slash fang only around 1% behind scythe dps. pretty sure axe becomes beyond useless too. that is a huge issue

@@nesunator There is so much wrong with your comment. It's a budget scythe which is really bad for the scythe's price, it's BiS at ToA, it outperforms the rapier, mace and saeldor unless a monster has 0 defence. It's a lot for a 30m item. The bladed moon will only compound this problem and make the scythe pretty much useless.

@@Whyamibzsdmh If we dissect your comment, what's wrong with the fang outperforming the rapier against high def enemies? It has 2 more attack lvl reqs, it's from a raid, just like rapier, and it's literal intended purpose is to be good against enemies with high defensive bonuses. If anything, what's wrong with the fang is the price being so low. While I fully agree the scythe should be better than it currently is in a lot of places, saying other stuff holds too much power against the stuff it's supposed to be good against doesn't make much sense. This is also a buff to saeldor as much as it is to the fang, considering the blade is actually meant to be used on slash. The mace is still vastly superior to the fang anywhere crush is the best method (pnm, cerb ( scythe bis, mace 2nd, fang is worse than arclight even). The mace does, however, suffer from the fact not that many bosses are weak to crush, again, not a fang power issue.
