This video demonstrates the recommended casting process, modification and test fitting for Seal-In V liners in conjunction with Unity™ equipped Flex-Feet.
Unity offers the security and freedom of vacuum suspension, but without the sensation and restrictions of a sleeve. This advanced system from Össur effectively addresses volume fluctuation and is totally compatible with Flex-Foot technology.

Why do you use al the sockets and the plastazote cushion? Why al the donning and doffing? To check the fit or?

those liners are no good, hanger casted a new socket with those liners and they said there is no need for sleeves. i wore it to work and i stared slipping out.

this is really a fantastic rate of advancement in prostheses building. but why do you have to create a testing socket before the final one, is it that you don't trust your cast? and does that not give you more cost and lost of materials?

It's not an exact science when reducing the casting. I've never had a test-socket fit so perfectly that it could have been the final. I've always needed some fine tuning before final fabrication.

Generic modifications. I have a check socket on hand at delivery one week from casting. I keep the check socket for further use or duplication. If modified correctly then there's no need for a test fitting. I wont walk a patient on a check socket.
