We got same thing in northern Minnesota. Skeg "floating Bog" drains the hp from any machine. Flotation is key, unlike texas red clay where you want to dig down for traction, in skeg there may not be a bottom that is defined.

Wisconsin has that but we call it a bog. It gross about 6-12 inches thick in a few feet of swap water, maybe a tree or bush growing with it. You don't want to go through. But you guys have a cool place to ride, there are to many people here that care about the forest and pollution.

We just don't have that mad mud down south. I can only imagine cleaning one of those machines after a weekend of riding in that!

well you done it now I have watched every one of your videos I was always a little 252 2wd Guy but watching your videos got the itch for a four wheel drive so I went out and bought a new King Quad 750 I like Can Am but there is no dealers within 100 miles of me and I've always had Suzuki so I figured why not a king quad my question here is I always like the looks of the Gorilla Silverbacks but I was wondering what you guys use and what your opinion is on the best tire I don't want to go too crazy maybe a 27 inch or something let me know greatly appreciated and your videos have inspired me to go in deeper mud hahaha

Have the exact same type of terrain at the family camp. Those bogs have zero bottom for about 20 ft. Only about 2-3ft of moss on top of it too.

You guys are on a bog, formed when a glacier broke off a chunk. Over eons, vegetation grows in from the outside until there is just a small pocket of open water in the very center. There might also be a narrow ring of water at the outer edge. Depths can vary.
