I Sailed on her and her sister The Pride of Dover, a sad end to two fantastic ferries.

The sort of approach that gives cowboys a bad name. I was on that ship's maiden return trip Dover-Calais-Dover and I wonder what her crew that day made of her final arrival.

I sailed on Dover and Calais right from new they were so much bigger than Enterprise etc I think twice a long? So much better in bad weather you didn't get sea sick... Remembered going on spirit in a force 8 and it was pitching etc... The new ferries don't seem that much better less outside decks and less car capacity... not sure if they are safer etc in storm's... anyway many happy memories... took my nan she last sailed in about 1935 to Holland and was sea sick..so she took a tablet as we were arriving in Calais she said when are we setting out lol
