Dr. Donald Liebell is an expert on chronic pain and explains in this video how rebounding can help with osteoporosis. He describes the causes of osteoporosis and will explain how you can prevent or stop the disease.
Studies proved that by bouncing on the soft bellicon trampoline, the bone deterioration stopped. In addition, the bone density of the participants remained stable when using the bellicon®. This in turn prevents the risk of bone fracture, giving people the confidence to go outside again.

I have a Belicon but I need to wear sneakers or my plantar fasciitis acts up real bad. I have back and disc issues and the rebounder helps with that. It does not aggravate it. I have osteopenia but I am not sure yet if rebounding actually helped my bone density. Since my last dexa scan 5 years ago, my bones got worse a bit. But, I have only been jumping for a year so maybe the bones improved over the last year. I am going to keep jumping and hopefully get rescanned within the next two years. Added deadlifts to my routine as well. Trying to build up the bones.

Most professionals agree that rebounding doesn't help with bone loss. And they are not promoting it. Do your homework, peeps.

With active RA …. How would that work? I have rebounded, not since I’ve had RA, hate to spend Thousand dollars on a belicon and not be able to do it. It is the only one I’d buy with RA a much easier and healthy bounce.

Hi Genevieve Trampoline training is especially good for users who have arthritis and wish to get fitter. The softer bungees are recommended in this case to ensure a soft and gentle bounce which is easy on the joints. Further information can be found here:link.bellicon.com/osteoarthritis. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our physios at physio@bellicon.com. Our team is also available for a personal sales consultation at info@bellicon.co.uk or +44 203 488 9390. All the best Your bellicon team

Thats good to know that it will help with osteoporosis, but would it also help with osteoarthritis?

Dear Jonathan, Thank you for your message. With regards to osteoarthritis, it depends on your limitations of course, but generally light exercise is recommended even for arthritis. We recommend the softest possible bungees so that you can exercise with the lowest possible impact, i.e. as gentle on the joints as possible. The feet should not lift off the mat. We recommend light cardio, strength and coordination exercises to train the joint-stabilising muscles. Important: You should not exercise at the onset of pain and, in case of doubt, consult a doctor. If you have any specific questions, please also feel free to contact our bellicon physiotherapist at: physio@bellicon.com Best wishes, Your bellicon Team

I don't have backaches but the rebounder actually gave a bad bachaches. I had to stop. When I restart, it hurts again. I am used to hiking and walking for exercise.

If you have back problems, it is important to train on a trampoline with bungees instead of springs and to adapt the exercises accordingly. 😊

it is upsetting to hear you define yourself as a chronic pain expert and skirt your DC credentials. I know why you do it but it's still upsetting :(
