The only requirement is that you have the original ROM file that comes with your Virus hardware synth, together with the VS file. @@BFHPETThe rom is what runs on the motorola dsp chips in the Virus hardware. The OsTIrus was developed as a means of utilizing the software emulation of that dsp in the hardware. Think of it like virtualization (virtual machines) for your studio, but for real taking existing hardware and sending it into bits digitally to your computer. The rom is the instruction set that runs the virus hardware. The rom comes within the virus driver package from access music (now Kemper GmbH a maker of fine guitar amplifiers.
