The Ostrich Pillow by STUDIO BANANA THiNGS is a very unique and attention-grabbing travel pillow. The idea is for you to feel cocooned inside the pillow (it covers your head, neck, and ears) and escape the outside world anywhere you are.
The cover of the travel pillow is made of a soft viscose that reminds me of t-shirt material. The inner filling is made up of tiny polystrene microbeads (think very tiny beads). This gives the pillow a substantial feel without being too firm or too soft. It definitely provides enough cushion for you to lay your head in virtually any position, including on a desk.
The pillow has one large cutout for your eyes, nose, and mouth and two openings near the top of each ear for hands to go in if you're going to take a desk nap.
The pillow is not machine washable or dryer-friendly. Your face (including your mouth) is definitely pressed up against the fabric inside, so you'll probably have to hand clean it so it doesn't get too germy.
I thought it was compatible with smaller ear buds and eyeglasses, both of which are important when traveling.
You can purchase the Ostrich Pillow at different retailers, so be prepared to pay $85 to $100 for one. Also be prepared to get some looks when you put it on, but maybe you won't mind when you're in your little sleep cocoon!
