Remember when Idke used flashlight in a tournament That was probably one of the biggest flexes I've seen

-> _index wasn't about flow aim, why he is so highly regarded was his aim, accuracy, and consistency together on HR -> _index did not just reach #4, he hit #2 peak where hvick225 was the only person he never passed -> there were practically no specialized HR farm maps in the time of _index, all of his plays were on extremely hard maps which is what set him apart even more -> WubWoofWolf had FCd Defenders with HR in late 2015 netting him the pp record before Cookiezi was even unbanned, saying that C had the only FC is blatantly false -> _index wasn't really seen as the gold standard of stream players, although he did play many maps with streams I would say Cookiezi and cptnXn were seen as just as good or if not better at streams than him -> no mention of his tourney play or even more importantly his OWC 2016 win yet -> when tournaments are finally mentioned OWC 2016 is blown off as if he played no important role in the US win -> wording of "cool" scores and so much talk about farming and farm maps instead of his real accomplishments, it's fine to mention goals and records he set but only mentioning farming in this whole section is wrong -> calls OWC 2018 not exceptional despite once again helping bring the gold -> only a brief mention of OWC 2019 -> never mentioned some of idke's best scores such as HR FC on Fast Paced Society or FCing all three of the Because Maybe marathons FINAL GRADE: 5/10 This video does highlight idke's rise and improvement through rankings and some of the maps he played but ends up getting simple facts wrong and prioritizing minimal events that diminish his accomplishments.

The Cry Thunder play is so amazing ngl, idke singing it along gave me goosebumps when I saw it. Its one of the best plays ever. Idke's determination is a sight to see and should be looked upon on. And as always, great video by BruhmasterL

Idke's score on cry thunder is the first truly legendary osu moment I was a part of even if I wasn't in the stream I was a part of the hype surrounding the score, watching the video the day it came out. I'll never forget that.

The most inspiring thing about idke to me was his insane mentality when he was a top player in 2017-2019. Imo he should be the one players look up to, not some genetic outlier like mrekk, whitecat, or vaxei. Those guys are better than idke and fun to watch, but most of us aren't like them, genetically predisposed to be good at osu (not to say that they haven't put in the work to get good at the game but they definitely got further than him in skill and to the top in less time). Idke's mental when he was grinding out uta hr and ror hr was something to behold. The amount of practice and attempts he put in for tournaments and top plays, respectively, was crazy, which ended up making him one of the greatest consistency players of all time. Not saying to copy his play style, but to admire that mentality of consistent practice, grinding to break through your own personal barriers, and setting ambitious goals to see them through, no matter how long it takes.

Oh please !!!! Let's not forget that idke set the absolute best tournament performance of all time on osu! Against the UK, he fc'd 6 out of 7 maps in a finals mappool, which was wayyyy beyond the reach of players like Bubbleman or Vaxei. He didn't just "play well" in OWC. He completely crushed the human limits of all roundedness and consistency on extraordinary difficult tournament maps and carried his team to victory with a tournament performance that will probably never be topped again.

pp system in 2018: *already thinks 50 seconds long easy pattern sotarks dt maps are worth more than 6 minutes long stamina maps* Idke: *gets number 1 with hr spaced streams despite that* pp system: "he broke the game ! surely players like Micca and FGSky deserve higher ranks than him ! let's make dt the ONLY way to gain pp"

The skill in this game has power creeped so much beyond human capability. I don't understand how people get so good. I remember losing my mind over cookiezi plays eons ago fcing airman and brown fox. The maps people play absolutely perfectly these days are just unholy. I can't even comprehend how they do it sometimes, I could kind of get the 2015 era of osu as a 3 digit player but this stuff is just bonkers now. I haven't played in years and just check in every now and then to see new top pp plays.

idke was amazing in tournament from his debut, and only got better as the years progressed. he was not some HR one trick farmer struggling to make an impact until 2019, he was KNOWN for his tournament prowess when people first took notice of him, with his OWC 2016 performance catapulting him into the player he is today. in OWC 2016 grands set 2, idke carries USA on tsukitoro and bassdrop freaks (negating rustbell in the latter round) and gets a HR FC on the critical freemod pick helping to put the team at match point . to call this "nothing really exceptional" is completely wrong. ask Toy himself, he scouted out idke for USA because he saw the potential that he had, and in later stages he absolutely showed up. it was the first time people noticed how ridiculously good he was, at long maps and streams in particular. during 2017 idke wins United States Cup for southern california, AGAINST TOY, outscoring him in the tb. then in 2018, he wins the North American Tournament against Toy and Hypno, and gets two more 1st place badges as well as a 2nd place finish in OMC losing only to Cookiezi's team. then he gets drafted into Rubber Conquest (the most dominant community tournament team of all time) for corsace open, and helps bring home the gold once again, crushing everyone in the TB showcase in grand finals to boot . speaking of 2018 the USA swept every OWC team in sight up until finals, with a 5-1 against Thailand and 5-2 against the Netherlands in groups, 6-0ing China and Taiwan and 7-2ing Japan, only really having trouble against the UK. Team USA was described as "bad" and idke's performance "bad even in comparison" despite them being the clear tournament favorites and idke playing a huge part in bringing home 1st place. let me remind you what the 2018 USA roster was: Apraxia, DigitalHypno, Monko2k, idke, fieryrage, Toy (some of the best tourney players of all time, ALL of whom were on Rubber Conquest), Vaxei (is Vaxei), and he rack (who was improving rapidly in 2018 and covered a few holes in speed and finger control on the team). there are many adjectives that can describe this team and "bad" is the FURTHEST away from any of those accurate descriptors. in fact the 2019 roster (which he praised as being the best team of all time) literally only swapped out Monko2k for Aireu. the team really didn't change that much, everyone on it just got way better. no mention of his 6/7 FCs on a finals pool? please do proper research before making the claims that you did about his tournament performance.

idke was known as "hard rock legend". Most of his plays was +HR. I used to watch his plays with only HR mod other than one trick DT farmer players. I will give this guy idke a credit. It would be a better if he read the hidden mod circles with HR (HDHR). one time I watched his one of DT mods he played (on Necro Fantasia), that play could sniped Rafis because of that accuracy (if idke played NC,HD) This guy will rise to #1 global again. Still a legend, bro play dt maps.
