As an RSG special, Otis' whole act did a non-stop LIVE half-hour at the Kingsway studio. A defining moment of the Sixties... For more passion, check out johnbellamy.wordpress.com/

I am old. Saw Otis perform live on stage in DC. Circa 1964. He was utter magic. Ah, youth.

I'm old, too (I feel like I am 25, though). Being old means that we got to see Otis Redding perform in person. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

We had only one thing We had Rolling Stones and then we had Stax boys No stupid compromise what so ever. God I miss them so much their love for life brother and sister Stefan and Monika. I still dance excellent and people get scared "What about this good behaviour thing? That's exacly what this music was about. To break behaviours

Talk about energy, he truly had it. Just think, most of all the musicians and dancers are in their late 60's and 70's where did the time go????

This video provides perfect memories of Ottis for me. Just amazing - esp for a timid little lady growing up in rural Australia. Have loved the word "soul" ever since. Thanks Otis for what you gave us, packed into too few years.

I play it non stop in memories of when "disco" was young, before it became boring and just four bars without Soul

The drummer is a graduate of The Al Jackson, Jr. University Of Keep Hitting That Fucking Snare As Hard As You Can!! Whoever that guy was is the closest you could get to Jackson himself who was the "Benny Benjamin" of Stax Records. Outstanding, and let us not forget that Otis is handing The Temptations asses to them on "My Girl", which was no easy feat AND showing us EXACTLY HOW to perform "Respect". UH?, Reefa, WHO?????
