Otis Jiry's Horror Storytime - Otis Jiry Channel

10 жыл бұрын

Otis Jiry narrates this tale by an author known only as Kaitie H., about someone selected to participate in the study abroad program that would be centered in Rome. Upon arriving in Rome for the program, they end up making arrangements to reside in an "ancient apartment" located above the Campo di Fiori. The apartment, located in a prime location, was listed for an unbelievably low price. The place was enormous yet the rent was cheaper than the much smaller apartments in a far less desirable part of town. Despite the signs that something was wrong, they move into the place anyway. As the individual and their roommates begin exploring their new home, they can't escape the feeling that they are being watched by something, and are more shocked when they discover a tiny door in the bathroom, which when opened reveals...a crawlspace. They never should have opened the door.

I actually didn't mind listening to the unedited version at all. It was nice getting a feel of how you work with the material! Great narrating!

When he pronounced that final word ("... EVIL ...") my cat jerked his head around and stared at me ... Things are pretty bad, Mr. Jiry, when you're scaring my cat. :)

i live on the third floor of a very old yellow apartment building. There was a little door we cut open a few weeks ago that had been painted over and hidden behind the fridge. And honestly, I occasionally feel like this place might be haunted. Doors slam when its not even windy outside. Oh.... one last thing. This is a 2 bedroom apartment, and we got it for cheap. It seemed too good to be true, we actually said that when we moved in. Plus this building is old as hell. Talk about a crazy coincidence. Seriously, when he described the place at the end, my jaw hit the floor. Im not making this up at all, im not even exaggerating. So friggen weird. No footsteps though thank god.

this one reminds me of one of my trips to rome. When I was 18 and living in italy, my parents from america came to visit me. my friend and I drove to rome to pick them up and we found a very cheap hotel right outside the parthenon. the hotel just had a couple rooms and i think was 3 stories tall. there was this borded up 3 foot by 3 foot hole in the corner of our room and my friend and i joked that a monster lived in there and that's why it was shut; then in the middle of the night we thought we heard something, and because of all our joking around, we got really scared. We went out and i got a few drinks and was able to sleep when we got back. my friend didn't drink in those days and ended up staying up the whole night with the light on.

I went to stay 2 weeks at a verry good apartmant in Italy with a friend two months ago, on the third floor. In the bedroom there was a tiny door close to the ceiling, right above a mirror that covers the wall. It wasn't a wardrobe it was just a weird space maybe two or three people could feet in. I'm glad I didn't hear this story when I was there 😆

Well now I feel like I missed out on a chance to hear how you work. Regardless, the edited version here is quite awesome. Long reads at this time of night-this early in the morning, rather-are the _best_.

dssdassw What you missed was the stumbling, bumbling, crumbling, cussing, work in progress version after the first read. A bit of an embarrassment to have heard, compared to the final product. :)

Great narration as usual but... really wish the author had the protagonist show the roommates the pic with the creature's face. Damn well better believe I would have.

I would like to add to the end of this story. As far as advice for traveling that is. Always check under the bed. I once found a paper bag that had a bloody knife in it. Called the police and changed rooms. Once found something worse but I would rather not talk about it.
