old stumps yes, excellent but please not good logs at least mill the good logs, or fire wood it, any cotton wood & Siberian elm also ought to be feed into these grinders as cotton wood & sib- elm are no good

Those shreds probably go to pellet fuel factories and the rest to landscaping mulch. It's not wasted that much. A lot of that wood is poor quality

I wonder what they do with the chips. I hope they are sent to a pellet plant or something.

@@snidecommenter7117 usually they mix it back in the soil with tree cleared constuction sites. Saves them the haul and fee expense of taking it to the landfill. But indeed, it is a waste

I agree except for the real junk wood & stumps, but the good logs, please at least mill them - lumber, & the rest of the not as good logs - fire wood
