@vrymtl all girl bands are two a penny in Japan whereas they still have a novelty factor here in the west - check out Shonen Knife, Chai, Mika bomb, Scandal....

The guitar fail at 00:29 is as punk rock as it gets. I saw a random ad for these girls on facebook and I got hooked from the word go. I'll be seeing them a week from today in detroit and I cannot fucking wait 🤘

Looked/sounded like a guitar pedal hiccup (as a guitar player myself, I've been there!), but she handled it like a pro. This entire KEXP in-studio set was my intro to OB last summer and I've been obsessed ever since. Seeing them this Friday in Queens, NY and I'm counting down the hours!!

@@jaich6229 Yeah I went a little far with "fail". She recovered nicely. Not sure if you have seen them before but they are unbelievable live. They kicked so much ass I have a newfound respect for Yoyoyoshie. She played her ass off from start to finish. One of the coolest ive ever seen. Enjoy the show on Friday!!

lived in japan may years ago, me and a friend would skip sunday school to sneak off base and get some yakitori from one of those old-time vendors, the two wheel carts with the heated rocks, they were so good, authentic japanese yakitori. then one day my mother came in to substitute for the sunday school teacher, she asked if i was supposed to be in this class, the other students of course told on me... we got in trouble, i was grounded, no more yakitori for me.
