The warmth of snuggling with siblings Learning to swim Her first fish! Just a few of the things your dedicated care and love allowed her to experience. As a few have already said... Her life was short but she was able to fully live it!! Some things just arent meant to be😢

Im not used to crying. But im crying right now. Seeing her curled up like that broke my heart. Her siblings nuzzling up to her, wondering why their rambunctious sister is not moving. Tororo, Odashi and Otsuyu looks very sad. Rest in peace Princess Love. We love you and we will miss you very much. 😢😭

Later that year, I had to put my corgi down, and he didn't even live to see his second birthday because of a liver shunt, that he was born with. At first I thought it was just a simple bowel obstruction which caused him to bloat up, but what we found out was much, much worse, and his liver failed to keep up with the rest of his body. I'll miss you, my little Ryder. Although you couldn't hear, you were loved just like any other dog. 😢😭

My heart is broken. Little Love came so far because of all the love and care that was given to her. She was so smart and determined. The doctor did a good job on repairing the cleft palate and lip. I guess it was just too much for her to take. I am thankful for the time I had with her.

One day the entire Loutre family will find themselves in the afterlife and live happily, have faith that you will see she again.

This is the first time I've seen this. I started to cry when I saw Choco trying to wake her up! I'm so sorry about Little Love!

Thank you for giving Love three precious months to live and grow, it's only because of your devotion that she was able to survive infancy. She was able to experience so much, learn so many important life milestones, grow to form her own personality create bonds, and have a life that was truly her own. It was a short life, but not so short that she faded into nothingness. She was doted on by her siblings, her parental figures, and her human caregivers, and knew the innocent love of children, and paternal devotion. She lived an active life, full of adventure love, in its most sincere and innocent forms. I know that she and her family would thank you with all their hearts for this most precious opportunity. Though you will always bear the pain of this loss, it is through your efforts you gave this creature the time to live. We thank you too, from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for fighting with her through these miraculous hundred days.

Love's passing is so sad and you have our deepest sympathies. Her life may have been short, but what a life it was. She went on adventures and she captured the hearts of people across the world. I am immovably saddened. I used to think I was very cold and unfeeling but since I started watching about a year ago I realised I had found how to feel again. Love was my favourite little otter and she taught me that I could be happy and she was just so cute, a little angel. I love all the otters so much but despite being a parasocial online relationship this has hurt me immeasurably and I will be sure to appreciate every day for those that couldn't be here. I have no words that can express the depth of the loss this news brings me nor can i imagine what you all must have gone through when the tragedy hit. I will say that she was not alone both in life and in passing, she felt your love every day she was with you and she will know your love as she watches over you from a place we can only hope we go to when our time comes. RIP Otter Love, you will never be forgotten and you will always be loved.

Grief is just love with nowhere to go… My heart is broken into 1000 pieces for y’all. Yes all of us who know Love are grieving. But you held her, you fed her, you played with her gave her LOVE and your grief is insurmountable. Letting them all say goodbye was the thing to do. I always let my furbabies say goodbye. She is in heaven now. She never knew she was different. She only knew that somethings were harder than others.She is whole. She will wait for the day when her family both fur and no fur join her.

You made a wonderful, kind and heartfelt effort to make her life nothing but the best it could be. I’m happy you introduced all of us to her. We shared her life and now share her death. Love 💌. Your baby Love has gone. That was so difficult to see and watch, I can only imagine the difficulty you had making that video for us all, so poignant, so respectful and so very very sad for you all. Love was a delightful little otter, she had a short life, you all hoped and wished she would come through the difficulties she had and the surgery she went through. It was not to be, she did not survive the surgery despite everyones best efforts, she can not come back but the memories will remain. Love is the exact word for her and love for her will remain with you all. Words are so very clumsy and inadequate at times like this, the otters can not know how it feels for us and neither can we know what the otters have felt. A little otter, she had a little life, but she was loved in a big way, every memory of her will be filled with love. Thank you all at Loutre for your dedication to and love for your otters.

Love died surrounded by just that. Love from her family. Love from Mama and Papa Loutre. Love from us, the fans. She was a fighter who fought to live for over 3 months. I lost my grandma's dog back in August of 2022, he was 14 years old, had arthritis, was blind, and was going deaf. He had been alive as long as I was. I understand the loss of a pet. May love rest in peace. And may Love be remembered.

My wife and I wept when we read the title of this post. For us Love was a ray of sunshine and pure innocence in a world full of anger and stupidity. Imagine a small creature reaching around the world to all who followed her playfulness and mischieviousness. She was and is still a pure angel. She loved and was loved for just what she was. Our sadness now is knowing that her Loutre parents are suffering of their deep loss, our sadness is only a fraction of what they must be feeling. At moments like this some will cry out at the unfairness of losing such a beautiful angel. No one is to blame. In nature she would not have survived more than days in her given condition. We believe she was destined to touch all our hearts by God's blessing to have her Loutre parents as her caretakers. She lived a pure life while she was with us all and now she is with those we all love and miss. God Bless Love, her family and all her friends.

I haven't even managed to stop crying yet. I want you to know that from this video alone I can tell you are very beautiful and caring people, and offer my deepest condolences for your loss and wish you healing. I have been away in hospital since April and only saw this today, out heart goes out to you both and all the little ones, we lost our 18yr old boys last year (Cats) and looking at video and photos is still raw for us. I remember seeing this video some time ago , I wept then and I'm weeping watching it now. Death is heartbreaking no matter the species, life is cruel in that we inevitably die and for those left behind the pain is unimaginable, seeing the otters try to comprehend it was quite sad , im sure there was some understanding that something was wrong.

Shell still always be there looking after her siblings and watching over her whole family, giving back all the love they all gave her. OTTERS AND HUMANS ❤

My daughter was born like this and she passed away in my arms at three days old, her name was Esmy. I'm not sure how I got to this video but it sent me spiraling and I would like to believe that they both together roaming in a wonderful place. I'm sorry for your loss!
