Is it us or does it feel like the orchestra enjoyed playing the music just as much as we enjoyed the performance? There some passion and hot stuff going on with the orchestra and background signers! 😃 😄👍

its with absolute confidence i can say Donna Summer was the greatest female voice of the last 50 years and for many years to come. She was so under recognized as the constricting label of Disco Queen. In reality she was so much more. Her music is eternal This is a sad loss but the soul of Donna Summer will never die.

Jens Wendelboe is the conductor here, he loved Donna, and loved working with her. Whenever she did shows that used a full orchestra he was her first choice to conduct them. Just look at the passion in his work, and the intensity on his face, he was not faking it.

No one will come even remotely close to Donna's talent! Unique luscious, sexy, hefty quality (too bad she never officially recorded musicals) was unique. The "Last dance" excerpt on Y.T. warms up the audience in an unprecedented way! Musicality, power, natural ease, humility and generosity will be missed. Here, she wasn't in top vocal form, yet, it's MESMERIZING. You've given us so much Love. Let's hope the Angels up there treat you well and the way you deserve. RIP.

I could be wrong, so if anyone got a link to the Noble Peace Prize concert with the audience out of their seats dancing like this, please share with us all. Go Donna Summer!

What a powerful performance!! If this was 2009 I think she was like 60yrs old here, and her voice still sounded amazing. Even though now that I am older (48) I love all the 70's disco, funk, soul type stuff, I never really went to any of these disco type shows. I mostly went to see blues and classic rock type shows all growing up. Man I wish I would have had a chance to see her, what a talent she was :(

No she does not. Tina still sounds good but so did Donna. Tina herself said she started having trouble hitting the notes which is why she is retired. Both have great talent.

The surprising thing about Donna Summer is when you got to see her live she never moved much to her own music. I started seeing her in shows in 1977. It was always a surprise to people in the audience. But she moved people move across the world for decades. She seems winded here. Her voice and music is Timeless. RIP. xo
