@@lucidx2 you are correct but they definitely were playing more conservative in the second half when they had a 3 score lead. The real concern is how much the defense let up towards the end. But at the same time, I'm sure they were tired because they were on the field for most of the half. They need to find a better strategy with Time of Possession. Playing conservatively is good as long as you can keep moving the ball, but coughing it up early in every drive is just going to wear out your defense. Sooners actually got very lucky in this game.

Great first three quarters by the Defense, and great first half by Rattler more like. This one was a nail biter. OU would be playoff level if they could keep their playing consistent. But they have a bad habit of kind of slacking during certain times of the game, costing them points and coming close to being beat. One thing I've noticed about ISU, is they don't have as much talent on their squad, but they play strategically and consistent. Which led them to most of their victories and ALMOST led them to one here. If they had the same caliber of players OU had, the Sooners would have gotten killed. And I'm a life long Oklahoma fan admitting to this.

If Lincoln Riley keeps play calling this conservative anytime we get leads this team will never win a championship. The game should not have been close. The second you start playing not to lose instead of playing to win shit gets bad. He basically takes Spencer Rattler entirely out of rhythm. It’s so confusing because Riley is obviously one of the most gifted offensive minds in football. So I really don’t know why he has decided to do this. If he didn’t the team would most likely be undefeated or at worst 1 loss to Iowa State. The K-State game was in large part lost because he got conservative. It made even less sense in this game because Rattler was on fire to start.
