At 5-2 and barely squeak by a basketball school with a fluke play and lost to Baylor and Okie State with no Big 12 title with no mention of a Heisman, it's best you follow Ring-less Riley to a 4-8 downtown school. Ring man Bob inherited 4 losing seasons and got a rock in 2 years. Plus Bob recruited and acquired Heismans QBs U : Jason White and Sam Bradford and Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. Facts

Well if you can convince everyone to stop watching and going to football games the tv networks will stop paying so much money for the tv rights. And thus the non degree kids dont get paid millions. Cause I am on your side the first responders should be a high paying job. Especially police officers. Ypu want great police officers pay them a great paycheck. So that way it can be validated when they need to fire "a bad apple" cop. Cause someone will be there waiting for a great paying police officer job.

I was in the military just long enough to see exactly what sacrifice truly is, you sign up not knowing where you are going to be sent, how long your going to be there and not knowing who you will be with. Not to mention your pay is significantly less than Fireman, EMS and Police. If you stay in your retirement is also significantly less than the others listed. If you really want to thank a veteran pressure your politicians to give the military a raise. The pay was horrible. The best part of the military is the life long relationships you make and experience. Not to take anything a way from civil service, but they are one up on the military in pay and benefits.

Riley was a great offensive coordinator but not a great coach. He is overrated. A few years ago, OU had the worst defense in the nation - no exaggeration. Out of 130 teams, OU ranked 120th. But if it wasn't for OU's great offense keeping the defense off the field most of the game, no doubt OU would have ranked dead last. Watching OU play defense was like watching their opponents run through red smoke. As an OU fan it was painful to watch - hard to even call it football. Amazingly OU made the playoff that year. That may prove that the best defense is a good offense, but OU would never win a national title with Riley's disdain for defense. Since then, OU has improved from terrible to just average on defense but I also think other teams have caught on to Riley's offensive, which was not nearly as dominant last year, despite having the top recruit in the country at quarterback. I think OU is better off with Venables and USC made a really bad deal.

@@rubengonzalez750 In Oklahoma's defense, that 55-19 loss came against a USC team that ESPN later voted the second-best team in college football history. The Trojans had the Heisman Trophy winner at quarterback, and the next season's Heisman winner at running back. That Oklahoma defense was actually pretty solid. That year, the Sooners held five opponents to seven points or less, including two shutouts. One of those shutouts was against Vince Young and #5 Texas. But that USC offense was amazing that night. That's still one of the best teams I've ever seen.

Truth is LR was always just an Offensive Coordinator at OU. He never knew how to be a Headcoach. Which is why OU started to suffer in special teams and he was unable to make adjustments during the games. He wrote a script and if it didn't work. The players where scratching and fighting to beat mediocre teams. Which is exactly why he Bailed and went to USC, Much easier conference and Alot less pressure from the fan base. Sooners fans are quickly becoming a laughingstock in college football. You guys won 5 more games than you should have only because you had an elite quarterback. You lose him and replace him with a quarterback that would’ve lost every one of those five games and you’re trying to tell the rest of the college football world you’re better off without Williams than you were with Williams. That simply isn’t realistic. Even if you stay in your charmin soft conference next season, you’re realistically looking at 4 losses.
