Francis Kurkdjian has some of then greatest accords in all modern perfumery. Guys, there are multiple types of vanilla; ethyl vanillin, natural vanilla tincture (which is very rich) vanilla Co2...then there is coumarin (vanilla, freshly cut hay, marzipan), then you have benzyl salicylate, which is very very light, soft balsamic milky-vanilla, then C-18 aldehyde, which smells like milky, creamy coconut vanilla, anisic aldehyde which is powdery mimosa, ethyl maltol which is fruity, strawberry vanilla and sometimes toffee, Benzoin which is smokey, woody cocoa and vanilla...etc etc... and several, several more vanilla, edible type sweet odour materials. Perfumery is a wonderful art and I`m very glad you guys are brings words and attention to this art form. Perhaps one day we will have museums devoted to perfumery!

I really really need to try this one out. SOTD Aqua Celestial. I’m working thru his Aqua line. BR540 Extrait is heavenly as is Grand Soir. I don’t think he can go wrong. Even his “average” scents are pretty dang good.

I wear all my fragrances year round. Just bought this haven't received it in the mail bought the extrait version. Hope i like it. Im definitely trying this in the heat ill be the judge of that if it chokes me out..

i just noticed in most of your vids you say " in the dead of summer" should it not be the peak or hight of summer? cause dead means cold. but what ever. I would like to know of any frags you know that have the same rose sent profile as this cause this type of rose i really like

You can’t go trigger happy with this juice, this past Sunday I over sprayed and when I entered my father’s car as we were going to family dinner, he was like “DUDEEEEE too much and so strong!” The smell is lovely but if you over do it it will definitely be annoying! I did around 4-5 sprays and could have been ok with 1-2 still this release is EPIC and if you overspray the Oud will be very pronounced so hope my PSA it helps xx 🤘🏻

I just purchased the extrait version.. i hope i like it cause i dont like rose in perfumes it tends to over power all the other notes and smell like a grandma and powdery . If i dont like it ill just give it away to my girlfriend if she doesn't like it ill just give it away to someone i know who does like it. But if i dont like this then ill never buy another rose oud fragrance again..

I have wanted to buy a decant but got discouraged when “cubaknow” said it was the worst. But everyone else loves it I’ll take a gamble on a decant sounds like it just might be him that doesn’t like it. BTW where is the channel link to the 2 reviewers you had on?

I really like the scent, but personally I find it very very feminin leaning, wore it a couple of times and both times some of the people around me thought I was wearing a woman's fragrance.

I still have my samples of Cashmere, Silk and Satin, all of which Extrait de P. from last December. I haven't smelled them for a long time now, but now after watching this vid, I quickly got them and sprayed all three on my skin, and it smelled awkward, don't ask me why, whether it is due to the fact that samples loose quality over time (even the colour of the juice became more intense), or perhaps as I have worn or tried more summery frags in the last couple of weeks. Long story short: Cashmere now smells like old "Cashmere" wood (which is out of the lab though, correct me if I'm wrong), Silk smells like typical rose petals (as if you were harvesting rose petals and put them in water and leave them in it for too long), nothing else; Satin is definitely still the more pleasing one, the smoother, with little rose, oud and other touches. My verdict might be biassed due to fact that I just put older samples, but I will definitely get new samples of both Satin "regular" and Extrait dP and then decide which one I go for.

Lol what a coincidence. 5 mins after that comment it's a cold rainy day on my island (kauai) and my clothes got a little wet. And for some reason I get the first sweet blast I ever got from satin oud. Pretty funny how that worked out. And it's very 540ish sweet

The oud factor in silk mood is stronger than in satin mood. It's so strong You can almost taste it.
