guess they're just a good mix cause I heard some doors in the third tune. and yeah singer alternates between mark e smith and Byrne. all that said they're one of those bands for me I hope make this sound for at least ten more years. don't pull a mgmt on us. and if by chance you haven't heard the fall check em out. 20 or more full albums similar to this. peace to everything!

"nothing" is a strong world in this case, because the paranoid rythms and the maniac vocals on most of the tracks of them really remembers me of Talking Heads, but of course all of those bands you cited have a big influence in their sound too.

not knocking ms cause many great things came of it for all the shit it gets but some bands don't care or worse would be compromising their deal somehow. but yeah I'd like to hear em on at least npr here in Louisville. only way I found em was on an Atlanta station, album 88. awesome band though, kind that shuts up the 'there ain't no good new music' folk. sorry. I ramble.

@eatgarcia3533
@eatgarcia3533 8 жыл бұрын
I want to like this band so much more than I actually do. IMO, Tim needs to lose the guitar so he can be freed up to deliver the lyrics in a more dynamic way. After binging on the albums, I was so disappointed to see them live. There's so much GenX fury and sneering sarcasm in the lyrics (rare to find in Millennials), I was expecting this to be reflected on stage. It wasn't. David Byrne? Maybe, but Byrne didn't have a guitar to contend with. This set is a snooze. Zzz. Zzz.
@sizone
@sizone 8 жыл бұрын
I actually agree. Was saying that as I saw them in Toronto the other night. Tim is an amazing performer - as in actor. While I like tight bands without extra people on stage (... broken social scene, arcade fire, oy...), I can see them benefitting from a 5th on guitar to allow him to go full tilt as the amazing frontman that he could be, which we only see hints of yet.
