Fun fact, if you weren't aware, Mr. Pallo. Many of our days are named for Norse gods - Tuesday (Tyr's Day), Wednesday (Odin's Day), Thursday (Thor's Day) and Friday (Freya's Day)!

So you could have taken the Skyliner and ended up in World Showcase, but you drove and ended up at the very end of the front parking lot. I literally don’t get that. Also, there is one H in Akershus. If you are going to be a Disney expert, you need to know how to pronounce things.

Ate at Askershus with my nieces 14 years ago!! The food was very Swedish and my brother-in-law did not enjoy his meal. However the Princess meet and greet made up for everything. The photos of the girls with the Princesses are priceless. Little girls seeing their favorite Princess is worth it.

My Norwegian background makes me think that the correct pronunciation is Akers Hus (rhymes with Moose) and means the house of Akers.

Had an amazing experience at Akershus. My cousin, her daughter and granddaughter and I went there for birthday celebrations (mine and granddaughter's 5th birthday). Alise had also gone to Bibbity Bobbity earlier and looked fantastic as a little Ariel. We were there for dinner and really enjoyed the food (was still a buffet back then). But the princesses were amazing. So agree with you both that watching the kids made the experience. And when Ariel came over, Alise was mesmerized! Back then they were still doing the princess parade, and Ariel came over and got Alise and they lead the parade. Our table was a blubbering mess!

This will be interesting, I have never been inside that restaurant. I'm not sure how I'd do with taking to the Princesses but it looked fun. Epcot has climbed my list of favorite parks - I will often just sit & listen to the music loop 😅

Great to see Tiana at Akershus now. Now that they've got seven Disney Princesses cycling who shows up to see the Guests at the meals, I'm sure even the kids will be happy to see some of their favorites show up from time to time.

Before covid, it was buffet style and there were so many more options. It was so good! Not sure the family style with limited choices is worth the price.

I was princess of the day for their 1st day opening in the 2000's. If you can't get Cinderella in mk, this was the 2nd best. The grand Floridian also had a good dinner with characters back in the day!

Hi Casey and Kyle, You should’ve waited for “Frozen” the ride before brunch. It’s really just a light splash of water to on the ride. It appeared to be a 45 minute wait looking at Kyle’s video shot. The line wasn’t extended far outside. Kyle, make sure you Ukraine your annual pass for breakfast there. Get the better price.

We did the character breakfast at Askershus a long time ago. It is nice if you want to meet all the princesses! Only downside to character dining is having food/ other people in the background.

We ate there before it was a character meal, as well as when it became character dining. Absolutely loved it each time. And you're right - watching the kids with the princesses is the best ❤️

These prices for the character breakfasts are a rip off. Everyone knows you can only eat so much food, even with the princesses it’s still way too much for the average family. The most I would pay for that is $32, guess we’re not going. You said it yourself, it’s a lot of money. I appreciate your honesty.

Went there about 18 years ago??? My daughter was young (she’s 24 now). I think then it was buffet. When you entered you could have pics taken with Belle and then buy them. I have them around my basement somewhere. We mostly did the meal for the princesses. We were in the meal plan.

Thanks for showing this. Waffles looked worth the trip. And that is a great dining experience - even for that price - 5 princesses! But It bums me out that Anna and Elsa are not at Akershus. I get that Jennifer Lee has been adamant that neither are "Disney Princesses" but I still feel like they could be "hosting" the congregation or something in-story.

My favorite is the cars suit at art of Animation. I like the shower in the master bedroom area . The walk is amazing. My son loved the theming

Smoked salmon is yummy! 👍🏻 You can sometimes get it as an appetizer at restaurants. They usually serve it with red onions, capers and pieces of boiled eggs….Dee-lish😊

We did Akeshus years ago and loved it! Princess interactions with our girls were amazing and the food was very good.

We took our daughter here one time about 4 years ago and she loved the princess experience. This was a great restaurant that most don’t give credit for! BreaKfast looks amazing there.

This is one of my favorite videos that you have made. I have never been to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall so it was very exciting to see. I will definitely be going on my next visit home. My favorite part was watching Casey with the princesses, it was so heartwarming to see, I actually teared up. It was like watching her fulfil a child hood dream. Love to you both.

Does Akershus Royal Banquet Hall not do the Princess parade anymore? I went there in 2013 last and about every 15 to 20 minutes they would announce a Princess parade was about to start and all the young Princesses and Princes could join the parade. Then they played a special song that was about a minute long and all the kids would walk around with the Princesses and wave like they were in a parade. Update: after a Google search, I realized that they called it the Princess Procession but I still can’t figure out if they are doing it or not.

I am an early childhood educator. I graduated from Undergrad in 1983. In 1987-1990 I obtained my masters degree in education also. My academics are primarily in early childhood child development. Kyle’s sister is a Nurse. My Bachelors degree is in Child Life. And my M.A. is in curriculum and administration. When we went on a Family Disney cruise in around 2005. We went to Epcot before we boarded our family cruise. At that time I worked at the U. W Madison child care center. At the UW child care there are many graduate students enrolling their children in to our child care. Students from all over the world. To welcome culture in to my classroom. I purchased classical tunes and classical folk songs from EVERY pavilion. Brought back C.D. From around the world in to my classroom curriculum. Parents appreciated my welcoming effort. Dance party USA meets windows of the world. 😘❤️👍

I ate there with my parents, brother, niece and nephew (they were 3 & 4). we thought it was the worst! My niece loved the princesses we had to convince my nephew the waffles were Norwegian Special Pancakes. Lol

Years ago Akershus had horrible food. We all ate pastries and spent almost 300. Princesses were better though so guess we paid for the princesses. They didn’t even have eggs waffles or bacon back then on the buffet

You know I think Kyle's editing and filming goes pretty underappreciated. The soft music behind the video he adds in, and the b-roll footage to show what's around him adds a lot to the vlogs.
