Our 14 X 60 shed/home being delivered to our land

Our house was delivered today! All in all, it took about 6 hours to get it onto the land and then leveled out and blocks put underneath. They got stuck quite a few times, and the lead guy even said, their company had no business sending two people and only one mule to move a 14 x 60 shed. Thankfully, our new neighbor came over to say hey and when he saw they were stuck in the drive, he got his tow motor out and helped them take it in---without his help, I don't know what they would have done!

It is, we love it! We lived in a 14 X 80 mobile home for a year before getting onto our property and even though this one is 20 feet smaller, really, it's mostly just the difference from the master bath that we had in the mobile home and a dedicated laundry room---we don't have either here, now our laundry room is in our pantry and for now we just have one bathroom. Absolutely love it, we have bought the 12 by 20 shed for our camp, it is on a video of mine, we are going there today and I may do a small video of where we are at it at this point.

Maybe it's the angel of video which makes the top of roof look as though it over hangs on lower section of roof instead of being capped. I could be wrong.

yeah, the top sheets overlap the lower sheets, it can't be capped or it would stop the water from flowing down, it's only capped at the ridge, no differently than how shingles are placed. Thanks for watching!

We put a moisture barrier on the floor, covered it with insulation and then put a subfloor on top of it.

Yeah, you have to get out of Cuyahoga/Summit counties and move deeper into the country. We found that the counties south west of Cuyahoga were a bit more liberal in their zoning laws. Especially if there are Amish neighborhoods.

I bought an Amish built shed in 2014. 16 x 40 for $ 13,900. The quality was just ok...not as good as the ones they show at road side displays. Also, they don't block off floor joist overhang and small animals will be living under the shed. Ask for an upgrade? Dispite the so so quality, I love mine. I would have built it myself for cheaper and better if I'd had more time. Also, they used a minimal amount of screws in the roof material...

Ours was built to code, very well done. We were able to insulate and run the plumbing and wiring without having to amend anything. I can't recommend the company we got our shed from enough! We don't have a floor joist over hang, so we were able to put skirting all around it easily enough---the only animals we had to worry about going underneath ours is our cats, they keep all the other critters away! Nothing was in place when the house was delivered, that's all been added as we've been going---the septic field is in the back of the property where the country said it needs to go, the electric was run under ground from the street.

We got ours at Ohio Outside Structures and they are a dealer for Sheds Direct---that's who made our shed. Their website is shedsdirectinc.com

Was it not possible to build it on the lot or was moving it grom another location less expensive? Where is this, what movers did you use and how much was it to move it?

We were surprised to see them bring it fully built, and it wasn't easy getting it onto our lot. This wasn't a move---we purchased the building, they built it and this was them delivering it to our land. We are in Ohio and the cost of delivering our building was around $250.

FoolyLiving “Oversized loads” require special permits and are then legal. - retired trucker.

Believe me, we were surprised as well! We had assumed (wrongly) that they were going to assemble it on site. When we were driving to the property that morning, and our shed went driving by us at an intersection, we were quite stunned!

I sometimes escort mobile homes with trucks, you just have to have us (oversize load escorts with oversize signs, permits and license) and your ok, I've driven with steel beams that were 140ft long I believe.

It was around $13-14,000 and delivery was included in the price. For the setup, we had to pay around $250 for all of the concrete blocks--that was the only other cost. Thanks for watching!! ~~Leslie

We had gravel down in the drive at the apron and about 50 ft in, and we spent the whole weekend beforehand trimming weeds and cutting things down. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, the shed company was supposed to come out beforehand and check things out---they didn't bother so the delivery guys had no idea what they were coming to---even though we TOLD the salesperson that we had raw land. He was all, "it'll be fine, those guys can deliver anywhere!: Well, they weren't happy, but they did finally get it in with an assist from our neighbor and his skid loader, LOL! Thanks for watching!

dimensions on any building is outside to outside, inside to inside is about 8 to 12 inch less
