Congratulations on the truck, she is definitely a beauty. I hardly ever comment on KZfaq, but I’ve kind of watched you from a far. You remind me a lot of my self, with your work ethic, and your taste of machinery. I build custom homes, barns, and have an excavation business. I run all dodge diesel trucks and all Kubota track loaders with a KXO 80. I also like your dry sense of humor ;-) congratulations on your success and wish you well in the future. God bless. 🚜

Holy shit!!!! You are the baddest man alive!!! Hahaha but for real wow. Congrats! You don’t get handed something like that… EARNED. I am slowly building my excavation business and you are very inspiring! All I can do is keep grinding until I have something like this! You’re killing it man.

Sweet truck. I had 2021 international mv 6 wheeler built with 12 ft beau roc and 3 way gate . 6.7 Cummins 3500 trans . 15 k miles no issues. Swing gate is awesome
@frankbirkemose4967 Жыл бұрын
Hugh, that come out nice, what a sweet wheeler. I agree get the biggest power possible, like the 2 way gate, International is a good truck.

I bought a new hx620 tandem in November 2019, 505 Cummins and Allison, one of the best decisions I've made as a small business.

Also I bought mine from Vermont, Clark's truck sales, is that where you got yours? Looks like that's where your from?

Yes sir. They’re all allegiance truck now. Once my transmission got fixed it’s been good. Ordered a second

@VTOutdoorServices that's cool, Russ was my salesman, he's helped me a couple times on some aftermarket stuff my locals couldn't get me. Only thing I've had go wrong is a def sensor
@VTOutdoorServices8 ай бұрын
@digginandbuildinwv7012 Russ went to work for the local highway dept when his dad sold. His wife handles our insurance coverages. I got the 5 year extended warranty that covers everything including the emissions. I bet it pays off

Vibrator for the bed?! How do you like that? I've never heard of that, we usually just scrape it with our excavator.

God send. Absolute necessity here in the northeast. Especially since all this emissions stuff has made it so upfitters don’t do heated bodies anymore.

The hardest part about starting out in this business is everyone saying to sub out and rent equipment constantly. I get it, it makes sense for some things but like you did the simple math for subbing vs. making the payment and its silly to keep subbing. I hate having to rely on others to get my work done but starting out and doing this on the side damn its hard to not have to rely on others constantly for deliveries. I wish I could find an independent person to run deliveries for me and not worry about distance from pit to job.
@VTOutdoorServices Жыл бұрын
I agree with the sentiment that renting is a good way to get started. It’s all you can afford to do. Once people get rolling and become established, it’s time to invest. I probably rush to buy new over used too often. But my track record with used stuff is horrible. 90% of the time I’m screwed.

You mentioned that you had an operator that doesn’t have a CDL, not sure if he is still working for you or if he’s one of the people that didn’t work out but that 040 on 14K trailer behind a single wheel 2500/3500 makes a great combo. That’s my setup…a 304 and 257d skid. Works great! (Not that you want to buy another truck)
@VTOutdoorServices Жыл бұрын
That operator didn’t work out. My stuff is all so heavy, I wish I could go back to a lighter trailer sometimes. But the 259 and the 3 attachments is about 15k lbs. 97-2 is 12k by itself. I’ve got a new 20 ton tag trailer. Haven’t shown it yet. That’s dedicated to the tandem.

Can you tailgate material with that transmission, I have found that its hard to do with an automatic.
@VTOutdoorServices Жыл бұрын
Very easy. Can lock it in any gear and go just like a standard
@villageearthwright Жыл бұрын
@@VTOutdoorServices That good to hear, i have been hesitant to get a newer truck with automatic, i'm glad they figured it out. I agree that its better to get an automatic so that your not restricted on who can drive it these days.
