"Sisters, I plead with you to recognize the glorious gift of your physical body and the power you have when your spirit and body work together to further God’s purposes. Our bodies are so much more than a temporary box to house our spirits-a box to decorate and display without impact. Can you see why we continue to teach the sanctity of the body, the need for chastity, the blessing of modesty, and the necessity to tend and care for our physical bodies?"-Bonnie H. Cordon, Young Women general president

What a beautiful message from a beautiful servant of God. As both the world and sometimes our personal lives are in commotion it brings me so much peace (and tears) to sing There is Peace in Christ and feel the spirit of Women's Conference. I am so grateful that we have the ability to watch these online -- I haven't been to Women's Conference in 20 years but felt the spirit as if I was with the thousands of women sitting in the Marriott Center. Thank you!

Thank you for your virtual hug. I'm sorry that I couldn't sing along, because I couldn't see the words on screen, nor in the transcript. But I add my testimony to yours that Jesus is the Christ and loves us ❤

Thank you for this message and the tender and thoughtful way the topic that can be sensitive to some of us was presented. It made me think of a message I read in the February 1985 Ensign magazine that was titled "The Body: A Burden or a Blessing?" by Barbara Lockhart. I think that message is a good read and compliments this message today from Sis. Cordon. Will be re-watching this with my youngest daughter, and hope it helps her like it has helped me. 💞

Yes. I love the doctrinal tie-ins, but I grew up with Ross Campbell's books in my parents' house (How to Really Love Your Child and How to Really Love Your Teenager) and of course the Gary Chapman books came out like The 5 Love Languages, which include how important especially physical touch is especially to some people, and so I always knew that these things are important foundational blocks for all kinds of health and food relationship and discipline with anyone but especially children--and though I was always taught from these books by my parents, I got to experience them not following what we knew, forgetting about or ignoring what the books said, and so I know how it is to lack the eye contact, loving physical contact, and focused attention, and the damage it can do to have those things neglected or to have the opposite of loving treatment given. And as a single adult myself I have made sure to value these things in my career with people of all ages, and I have seen the potential for this information to be lost and for needs to go unmet as the world has gone more toward technology for everything--for so many years, my dating experience has really only gone as far as technological experiences as people don't get together in person, and how can we expect to have real relationships built when people are uninformed about and don't value being together and being safe physically and and in real life? And nowadays, I am in social media groups hoping to give any help I can to parents or others who are raising or caring for children, although my own family doesn't give me too many opportunities to do that anymore, and the most common thing I find myself teaching and recommending, for a multitude of problems that mothers and other relatives mention when it comes to their children of all ages or even how to connect with anyone well, or discipline or manage anxiety etc., is to give a minimum of 15 minutes daily of eye contact, loving physical contact, and focused attention. That's what we all lack enough of so many times, and if we would implement it intentionally and carefully, it would help all present and future people and relationships and really make possible the continuation of marriages and families in many ways.

I see in Sister Cordon great power, because she knows and is connected to the Source, Jesus Christ. The most powerful women on Earth know where true power comes from and are connected to Him, the true vine. Jesus Christ empowers women from within. Feeling empowered by Him is the most beautiful, wondrous experience in this life 💛

Satan never received a body because he was a created being, an angel who revolted. (Isaiah 14:12-17) Jesus Christ received a body because he was God in the flesh, the only perfect and spotless atonement for sin. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
