Our Casuarina Tree is a poem published in 1881 by Toru Dutt, an Indian poet. In this poem Toru Dutt celebrates the majesty of the Casuarina Tree that she used to see by her window, and remembers her happy childhood days spent under it and revives her memories with her beloved siblings.

In this poem, Toru is referring to her brother abju and sister aru when she talks about those died people. They both died in a young age and later Toru also died in the age of 21

Looking at the picture of the Casaurina tree, I can now recall my childhood days there was a casaurina tree outside of my school and I used play under it with my friends. We've made many precious memories but unfortunately that tree is now nowhere to be seen. 😢
