I completely redid the electrical system in this boat with Tesla batteries and charge controller, automatic switch, etc. When you get an older boat it is very simple to upgrade the wiring and fuzes, etc. After doing once or twice your confidence will go up. It’s not as difficult as it seems at first. If you have questions about it let me know! What boat are you looking at getting?

We do have a grass pad for them and we are 50ft from land so they go a few times a day

@@whatskraken9229 Thank you. Was it difficult to teach your pups to use the grass pad? We have a GSD as well and, I could not imagine sailiing without him.

It took them a couple of days to learn but they picked it up fast.

Soon we will show how much she has changed with all the work we have put into her so far. It’s a little challenging being anchored out all the time but very rewarding in many ways. The engine room will be sanded and repainted soon once we remove the engine. We are 100% electric so we will be selling the Westerbeke 30. And this will become an extra berthing.

Well good thing they get a different one all the time! They aren’t stuck to just one. These dogs love adventure and get to explore new places and new “yards” and smells instead of being stuck to the same one everyday.

You feel sorry they aren’t restricted to one back yard, the same dog park, an apartment. They get to travel to new places. Try new food. See new people and dogs which they love more than you know. They have a king size bed to themselves. They eat raw chicken and vegetables every day (sometimes fish). Why do you feel sorry for them?

@@whatskraken9229 while I enjoy watching all sailing adventures, not so much with those that have pups pups. I also just wonder how comfortable they really are. All dogs especially big ones need lots of exercise, plus I noticed the steps they have to go down to get into the cabin, it may seem easy right now but both can contribute to back issues and arthritis when they get older. I’m sure they are both happy as can be, they are with their mama and daddy. Just a little concerned that’s all. I have a soft heart for all animals and their comfort. Also after 13 years I had to say goodby to my fur baby Cody back in March. Mourning the loss of a family member is very hard. Actually I may have just wanted to bring them to my house so they could run and play. Did not mean to start anything, forgive my intrusion. 😊

I’m sorry to hear! I love discussions. Everyone can learn something. You are not doing anything wrong here. They have a lot of room on this boat compared to most sailboats. They have a cushioned king size bed. They eat very healthy and get fish oil every day. Massages from our massage gun as well. We know Max the Shepard is prone to hip dysplasia so we are proactive about it. We are very close to land. They can go to land whenever and get exercise swimming. I just remember when we had a house and they had the same back yard and same dog park. They didn’t seem too happy. Every since the boat life they seem to have more purpose. Max is the protector/ security. I feel like animals just as humans need a purpose to live happily and healthy which adds to longevity. He loves when we catch fish or crabs and loves chasing the birds off the deck and playing catch with his tennis balls which there is a fair amount of space for. When we are at land too long he heads back to the dinghy because he wants to get back to his home (the boat).

@@whatskraken9229 I have no idea about those things just realized that others have way better views than yours, I think gopros have very wide angle lenses as an example. trimaran is great, deserves better camera ☺️

@@Shakespeare2023 I agree! A better camera does cost a fair amount of money. We are doing everything on the cheaper side of things. Maybe one day we can afford a better camera. What did you think of our recent video. Anything else we can do better?

@@whatskraken9229 I hope you can get a 2nd hand gopro for cheap money there. and a good waterproof drone later 🙂 moving camera with close/narrow views is not a pleasure for the eyes, image is trembling... maybe a DJI Osmo Mobile will help with that your phone, sure you will find in US such things slower motions with camera when you present something helps a lot, fast moves with camera not good on a presentation video
