I love to hear Penelope speak Mandarin. I'm also adopted from China and I live in Iceland now. So yeah you have viewers from all around rhe world, even Iceland! Unfortunatly I've forgotten how to speak Mandarin since then, because I was adopted at such a young age. I still do understand a handfull of words and I've taken Chinese lessons and I do remember plenty of words. I love you guys!

I love that you guys encourage Penelope to speak in her native tongue and seeing her getting all excited seeing her favourite snacks from China is the cutest thing. Chinese is definitely a hard language to learn and this is coming from someone who grew up speaking it at home.

It really made me lool when I thought you guys thought 我不知道 wo bu zhidao meant "sticky rice" hahaha! Dim sum looked amazing! And so happy to see Penny in her element. It was so nice that the guy in the restaurant said to bring her back to practise,💖 then I thought if Penny ever wanted to in the future, it would be a good idea if she worked there to keep her mandarin fresh and practise English. 🙂😌It makes my heart happy as an Asian American that you allow Penelope to speak her native language because for me, growing up as an Asian American and growing up around mostly English-speaking people, I can't speak my native Cantonese language, but I'm thankful that my grandpa and uncle know some English, but I love how you guys make sure Penelope never loses her ability to be bilingual.

It was really funny when she was asking how many packages of the dumplings you wanted to get and you couldn't understand her. Im mexican and have two older brothers and two younger sisters. Growing up i use to be so embarrassed that i had a big family. When we would go out in public i use to think everyone was judging us. I thought everyone was thinking we fit the mexican stereotype of having a big family. But after seeing your family i realized how blessed i actually am to have a big family.

I love how after penny says something in Mandarin Amanda is like ‘yep, totally, what she said!’ Penny this was a great opportunity to trick your mum, you could’ve been like ‘so my mum’s going to give me a million dollars...’ and she would’ve had no idea. I’m still amazed how penny is fluent in 2 languages at such a young age!

As a Chinese who moved to the US when I was little. I’m so glad that Penny still remember how to say Chinese and willing to show us about it. Sometime is hard to translate some word into Chinese. There is no real Chinese dim sum restaurant around the place that I live right now, I’m missed dim sum so much.
