Longtime viewer but first time commenter just echoing what so many others here have said - the lesson bit was awesome. More of that in your usual demos would be so greatly appreciated by so many of us! Pete’s loops and breakdowns during Covid-times were right along these lines and helped me grow as a player so much. Count me as one more looking for loops and lessons!

Regarding that jazz note, I do not currently have any specific examples in mind, but Jerry Garcia used to do things like that live. He'd play a note and you'd think "Oh that was a mistake". But then, he'd resolve it in such a way that would make you think it might have been intentional (we'll never know!). I just love that about his playing.

Great guitars, shame they're so expensive. Don't get me wrong I'm sure they're worth it, but the cost of guitars is getting pretty crazy. That mystic pine green finish is epic!

£1k for a Mexican guitar, I can't see me going there. I've had three Mexican Strat/Teles and the QC has been bad. I've currently got a Tele back with Fender UK to have many faults fixed.

It cannot be overstated that Fender owes you guys immensely for your partnership and excellence as ambassadors for their gear. Whatever you are paying Pete probably isn't enough. Capt. I spent several years shopping new Telecasters. I was patient. I had the money saved. I wanted to wait until one grabbed me by the heart and never let go. I finally found it when I walked in and saw an American Ultra in Texas Tea. The videos/pics do this color NO JUSTICE. It's simply breathtaking to behold. And then the specs, the compound radius neck and belly carve. The angled neck joint. It felt perfect. The pickups are "noiseless" but still sound like perfect vintage-style Fender being somewhat low output. I can't get enough of it. Until I saw this purple version.

This episode marks the very first time that Lee starts the discussion post-intro talking about guitar scales and modes (leaving us amateurs in awe), analyzing precisely why his repertoire fell short. Pete then teaches the answers, which is the very reason why Lee is soooooo much better a guitar player today: because he has Maestro Peter to jam with daily. Contrast Lee's progress/guitar skills now versus the 'Chappers and Captain' days, and let's be honest, there is no comparison.

All Due props to Danish Pete's amazing talent, knowledge and skill, but Captain-- I've got to say I wish I had improved my skills even 10% of what you have over these last few years. Great video as usual, I love the fender strats, iv been trading and found a 2010 FSR candy red burst hss, rosewood fretboard maple neck great shape , also have a classic vibe thinline tellecaster 60,s model , so I'm happy, strat and telle. Would love some FSR editions of the Ultra Luxe Strats, I really love the Ultra lineup but I can’t bring myself to spend that much on a guitar without stainless steel frets so I’m currently waiting for some new colors to come out of the HSS Ultra Luxe strat preferably a version without the Floyd rose

Great lesson guys! I'd also love to see more music theory incorporated into the jam sessions. You can add notes from either the melodic minor or harmonic minor scales to add some jazz flavour to your pentatonic playing. Those are the ones to check out.

Now I'm glad I bought the Fender American Performer this past summer. It's just as good as those models. Yosemite pickups are really good, the neck is thin and the finish is perfect. My honey burns color is gorgeous. Both Fender and the other brands are inflating prices since last year and that's bad. You cannot pay €300, €400 or €500 more for the same guitar from a year ago. A great model is the Player Plus with the same pickups and more than twice as cheap, the best value for money.

I'm not usually one for every little tiny nuanced difference between Fender guitars that are pretty much the same. But: Telecaster Thinline Baritone has to happen!!

Amazing! Have been playing with the Fender ModShop builder for months and kept coming back to the exact colour scheme and spec of that Charcoal Strat (out of how many thousand possible combinations...?).! However, was hesitating to buy as £2K for a guitar that you can't see and can't return (unless faulty), with an 8 week lead time was putting me off. To have essentially exactly the same guitar (I have no issue with Mexican made) available immediately from a UK retailer I trust. And for half the price... Click and collect button pressed. See you tomorrow....

Would’ve been cool if you specced the Player strat to just have the same S1 switch as the other strat, especially since you admitted the split humbucker doesn’t sound great. The humbucker and neck combo would be cool

I always wondered how much difference does that contoured neck joint make? Is it super noticeable, or is it more like a "nice to have, but doesn't help much" type of deal? Never played any telecaster, so i'm really curious about this

Pete's "Jazz note" was fine since it's an F# blues. You could clearly hear the F#7 chord in the jam track! :P

Do you like these noiseless pickups compared to the earlier (i guess 2021) Mexican player plus guitars ...which had noiseless pickups in them. I remember you had criticized those that it doesn't have juice. Or are these the same ?

I’ve got a plasma burst elite tele by far the best telecaster I’ve picked up never could bond with a tele until I got that one. Ultra series is amazing worth the money.

I love my Strats. I have three USA models; Custom shop heavy relic HSS, Lonestar and American Professional II HSS. Although, I think these latest Mexican Strats sound great. Credit to Fender.

I dunno I like having a dramatically more gnarly tone in the bridge if a strat. It’s like having a boost pedal built into the guitar. Especially as Strats only have one volume knob for all the pickups, so you can’t get a crunch sound and roll the neck volume down for clean and flick back to dirty with the selector, like on a Gibson.

Hey guys Canada calling! The first few minutes of playing the missing part/ chords is explained by youtuber Jules guitar. I watched the video yesterday he spoke of the blue notes. I am watching lots of videos trying to learn stuff n iou guys have me wanting to buy almost EVERY GUITAR you demo. I love fenders but frankly I’ve had an ultra for nearly 4 years and have found there are more budget friendly models that are just as quality if not more so, also the “modernization” of some of the less ergonomic portions of an original strat feel they could’ve been looked at with more detail. Fender owns Charvel and yet the neck joint isn’t friendly unless you’re playing mostly blues
