Gimbal servo rotation is terrible.. it is quite annoying and noticeable. I would recommend stabilisation of the video. That apart, the van is awesome..

Now that you have the Van and the Trailer for a bit, what are you pros and cons you are finding with each?
@jrmvideo
@jrmvideo 5 ай бұрын
Honestly, there's not many. We pretty much know what each vehicle offers. We typically only use the trailer for bigger productions and the van for smaller ones. The van is nice because it doesn't require a vehicle for towing, and it's easy to park at a venue. While both offer different working experiences, both can still achieve the same goal of producing the same level broadcast.

What make and model of van is it? Also, I thought you'd have better speakers than those Logitech speakers with the fake tweeters.

Man that’s so nice. How do you get transparent graphics using the avmatrix? Do you capture program to a computer and combine in obs? Thanks for the content!
@jrmvideo
@jrmvideo 10 ай бұрын
Thanks! We use OBS to capture the program out of the switcher and add graphics second. (Kinda backwards in the “video world” but it works for us)

We use the Blackmagic ATEM Camera Convertors. They are a big silver box that handles SDI/HDMI inputs, converts to fiber and also provides a return video

Given that youre using atem, why didnt you use one of their switchers?
@jrmvideo
@jrmvideo Жыл бұрын
We can't justify spending $4k on their control surface when the switcher itself is $1k. This Switchblade controller is only $700.

@@jrmvideoAwesome. Do you have any suggestions for remote broadcasting? I’ve been live streaming high school football games where I don’t have access to hard wired internet or a school wi-fi because of how far out the field is. Used my phone hotspot, and got it where it doesn’t buffer at 480p..
@jrmvideo
@jrmvideo Жыл бұрын
@@flowwnetwork Unfortunately, we do not. We have been actively searching for an affordable solution for years now. StarLink seemed like it was the answer until they started they started throttling upload speeds. We've used cellular hotspots before as well but that seems to be the only solution. LiveU or TVU are both reliable solutions but they come with a high cost.
@HTMLiveEvents
@HTMLiveEvents Жыл бұрын
@@jrmvideo For me, It's not a "remote broadcasting solution" for locations without internet, but it does get internet far range if you don't want to, or can't, run a cable... A pair of Ubiquiti Litebeams worked for me for a recent broadcast. Got internet from a baseball pressbox to the middle of the field at FOH for a concert/fireworks show. Could have ran fiber, but the amount needed was too expensive to buy or rent (for me, for one time use). The litebeams were a good, cheap, reusable solutions as opposed to renting a fiber cable one-time. $65 per litebeam so for two it worked great.

I've been doing high school football games for the last 6 years and I use a T-Mobile home internet. It's true unlimited with no caps for 50 bucks a month. Surprisingly they have really good coverage and I haven't had a problem with it in the last 2 years. Some people even modify them with directional antennas to get signal in some of the most remote areas. LiveU is going to be better of course but it's a lot more expensive. Check it out it's worth looking into if you need something on a budget.
