Our Disneyland Trip Travel Day! | Checking Into Disneyland Hotel, Room Tour & Meeting Characters!

In today's vlog we head over to the airport to start our travel day to Disneyland! We fly into LAX and then head to the Disneyland Hotel where we give you a detailed tour of our 2 bedroom family suite. We have some dinner at Downtown Disney and we even have some pretty magical character interactions at the hotel. We look around the gift shop and settle in for the night. We hope you had fun hanging out with us on this travel day to California and we can't wait to show you the rest of this amazing trip! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

The photo that Tim thought was a Jungle cruise boat was actually from an extinction attraction called Mike Fink's Keel Boats. It ran through the Rivers of America in California, Florida and France.

Similar to Jackson calling Disneyland “Treat Land”, ever since going to Disney World my toddler refers to everything as Something World, like Grocery World and Pet World. It’s so cute!

Hi Tim, Jenn and Jackson, thank you for taking me back to “Disneyland Hotel”, the very first time I went to Disneyland we stayed at that hotel. I was 7 years old, I am almost 56, it was a long time ago😂😂😂

It's so funny because I was at Disneyland the same weekend you guys were and the heat for me was horrible but for you all it's "eh, it's warm." Haha! So funny to see how people from different places react to the weather.

That photo of the boat was from 'Mike Fink Keel Boats', a ride they had at Disneyland! It originates from a classic Disney film, 'Davey Crocket and the River Pirates', where the main River pirate is called Mike Fink! One of my favorite old Disney films. And you can still see the keel boat in Disneyland from the train!

I think that picture of the boat that is in your room might be one of the old Mike Fink Keel Boats that used to run years ago in the Rivers of America at Disneyland. They closed after one sank due to being overloaded with guests. The Old Mike Fink Keel Boats have a -retry interesting history!

You are correct, but I think it did not sink because the Rivers of America is not that deep. I think it sprang a leak or something. BTW there is still one those boats abandoned on the bank.

I got emotional when Jackson saw goofy, Pluto, and chip. I feel like Disney world doesn’t do magical moments like that as much at the hotels. Even before going to the park, you already get to experience magic like that. so precious 🥹

I cry inside the APM. Every tram I ever enter since visiting WDW, I always make the announcement Buddy makes. Those who know always give me a wink/nod or the high-five. Those who fly in know Disney World and know how most trips start. And it isn’t at the Welcome sign. Thanks Mayor!

The only time that I stayed in the Disneyland Hotel, it was just my mom and I. They were overbooked and upgraded us to the Pirates of the Carribean suite! For whatever reason, Pirates is always the first ride we go on when we come for vacation. And its also my moms favorite ride, and it was close to her birthday when we came that time, so it made for an incredible experience! I highly recommend looking up pictures of the suite, it was absolutely gorgeous! I love your videos and they always make my day when I watch them, keep up the good work!!

Love that you’re here at my home park! (Bummer that I didn’t see Tim at D23 expo though). The Boat artwork is a keel boat - they used to be on the rivers of America. I hope you ended up seeing in the hotel lobby that some of the chairs are the Alice teacups!

You handled the stress of getting to MCO later than expected very well! It's such a relief boarding the airport monorail realizing you didn't miss your flight. My kids loved the pool and Goody's Kitchen restaurant at the Disneyland Hotel.

The ceiling panels are sometimes put in at certain floors that have lots of plumbing crossing paths from the floor above. Other times it’s because the room had water damage and they just never got around to replacing the hard ceiling. Love your videos and your humor. I hope to meet you at the parks some day.

I stayed in the Disneyland Hotel in the frontier tower where you're at in 1987 during the party for all the ladies that played Snow White since the park opened. I had a much smaller room, though.... Lol. I hope you enjoy your visit to Disneyland 🥰

Agreeing with others that the boat is a Mike Fink keelboat. Definitely Frontierland as in Davy Crockett. Once upon a time there was an attraction called the Mike Fink Keelboats along with the Tom Sawyer Rafts near Tom Sawyer Island in WDW Magic Kingdom.

The Disneyland Hotel is where my family usually stays when we go to Disneyland! ☺ I love the musical light up headboard. I went to the D23 Expo too, but I stayed at Hotel Lulu just to be closer to the convention center.

Even though I live on the East Coast, the first Disney park I visited was Disneyland and we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. I was 15 staying with my best friend’s family and we may have had as much fun in the hotel as we did in the park. Definitely magical.

Loved this vlog... airport had me on the edge of my seat and the landing part was really cool editing effects, I laughed so much on this video. Thanks for doing a tour of hotel rooms. Very interesting and different. I'm shocked disney bathroom didn't have a shower wand to help ease bathing the kiddos but overall really cute room. Thank you for sharing your trip can't wait to see more. P.s. that salad looked amazing

The boat in the second room looks like Mike Fink’s keelboat from the old Davey Crockett movies. My son loved those movies when he was around Jackson’s age!
