You know what the worst part about a car build is? The finishing part. So many little details, bolts, and brackets… half of which we’ve tossed or lost. But ya know what, that’s just a chance for us (ok, Suppy) to make it better. After gold grill, specialty trunk bracket for a full system, carpet and more… this thing is getting closer and closer to its inaugural burnie.

I drove a gold 1973 Caprice Classic with the small block 400 and rear fender skirts to my HS prom in 1973. My dates dad made me take him for a spin (1/2 hour) and his daughter (my date) got a bit upset. This build brings back memories of a very nice Chevy.

I’m excited about this build. I’m happy about the Chrome header panel and chrome around the headlights. Nice work Hert. I am disappointed to see the black front inner fenders. Step up your chrome game. #DonkLife You need chrome inner fenders too. Come on guys; I know these can get swapped out easily so I’m hoping next episode to see some chrome inner fenders.

I put it on 1/4 speed just so I could get a better look at the puppy... because now that we have a part Dutch Shepherd I've suddenly become a fan of shepherds and Malinois. Words of advice, anytime you paint chrome or gold or something like that, paint your part black first, it makes the gold/chrome look a lot brighter and like a solid color instead of looking like crap.

The pieces around the headlights definitely need to be chrome. It wouldn’t look right having that piece body color with everything else surrounding it chrome. The gold grill is on point though. Great progress and can’t wait to see it do a massive burnout. Great video!!

Red brillo pad is the best for scuffing. Around a 240/260 grit equivalent. Grey brillo pad is best for finishing. Around 400/450 grit. Working in a bodyshop, we go through a 10mtr roll each week
