After just a few swings on the ProTee VX, we had to go back and check the price. You get all THAT for that?! The club-at-impact replay is higher quality than any other I've seen. I could see the hitting mat turf move beneath the club, which helps me confirm if I'm striking the ball well or chunking it.
Oh yeah, and the video of the ball spinning is both helpful and cool.
We've got some clips on this page so you can see why I was stopped in my tracks. The ProTee VX, with its accurate data and video replays, will undoubtedly help you improve your game.

My friend that I play with is a lefty, so definitely looking for the best options for left and right handed golfers. I like how seemless the putting and chipping are on the camera based systems. Some of the quirks of the Mevo plus for putting and chipping had me leaning towards the Uneekor eye xo. I’d love to see a comparison of the 2. They seem to be similar products, with the Protee VX having a hitting that is closer to the eye xo2, but for much less price. I’m looking for something to play GSPro with and not a ton of extra subscription fees.

You said "maybe 1 or 2 outliers where the shots didn't really match up". Out of how many shots (trying to figure out a percentage) and how large was the deviations? What kind of deviations?

We didn't do a full comparison like we have with other units (we will be working on one at some point). But we feel the outliers were more so the two launch monitors' infrared interfering with each other.

I purchased this unit The outliers are drastic I recalibrated multiple times I would say probably 1/10 shots And the outliers for me were very drastic I hope my Mevo up and ran software side by side and tried hitting fades. The Mevo showed 5-10 yd fades The VX showed 10-30 yd pull hooks. Im returning the unit because of limited return window. I don’t have time to wait for VX to respond (has been taking 4-7 days). I would wait or just find something else.

@@jrad015 I wonder if the VX was actually the right data and the Mevo + was wrong. I have the Mevo + and indoors it will read the wrong shot shape alot vs camera based systems. I tested it against the Bushnell launch pro and it was reading the same as you fades while the BLP was reading hooks. Something to do with gear effect, I cant explain exactly what was causing it but basically something in the algorithm that accounts for where the ball is hit on the face of the club and how it effects spin. @carlsplace did you conduct any more tests on this unit vs the GC3?

@@kylerobbins10 no it’s 100% the VX. I tried to hit specific shots and the Mevo read them correctly. I can shot shape pretty good and the VX was way off.

Hey! I guess I'd say we have used putting in the rounds we've played on it, but haven't necessarily "tested" it. Had a few glitches, but got in touch with ProTee and they are aware and working on necessary fixes!

Heavily considering this unit, does it recognize rough and sand mats .?

Hey! We have not tested any rough or sand mats with the VX. Not sure if the white-colored sand mats would interfere with readings at all. I highly doubt that the unit is programmed to recognize that your ball is in a rough or sand surface and that should be your penalty (as opposed to the software penalizing). You definitely don't want the software penalizing you and also being penalized on your actual swing, if that makes sense!

Does the video camera playback work with TGC2019 software?

Hello! You should be able to have ProTee Labs running at the same time as TGC19. The video playback happens in ProTee Labs! Hope that helps!

Don't see why not? Overhead mounted units are great for sim businesses. Plus the VX has some awesome features (club at impact replay) that only higher end launch monitors have. And it's pretty accurate and works easily with third-party softwares!

@carlsplace would you place it over the uneekor eyexo? I'm about to pull the trigger on 4 overhead units and this one is entering the decision .. have you been able to test it outside against the gc3 yet?
