Maybe some German films on TV, especially for children. Or an online course. Or you keep in contact with your friends in Germany via video calls. But of course, enjoy your time in Japan as well. Thank you for taking us along and showing us our home through fresh eyes! It was a blast to see you guys experience Europe, its foods, landscapes and cultures and to see your little family grow! We're here if you ever want to come back to your second home. I wish you happy and peaceful holidays and a great start into the new year and new adventure. I traveled Japan for two weeks in October and absolutely loved it, but it is VERY different then Germany. I guess in a way, Germany was a good excercise to adapt to a new culture that is only marginally different from the US- now you get the full deal! I'm looking forward to watching you discover this beautiful country and culture and to see where this all leads you. Not goodbye- Auf Wiedersehen!

Well I bet you that you will be back in Germany sooner than you can imagine. Simply because of the children who can grow up in Germany in a more child-friendly and free manner without worries and fears. You have more German values in you that you quickly become “homesick” for Germany. The serenity and work life balance are much healthier here in Germany than in Japan.

Watching Willa riding the bike brings back memories of me learning how to ride a bike in Germany when I was a little but older than her. And watching you guys boarding the plane to go to Japan brings back so many memories of the times when my Family moved from assignment to assignment. On the funnier side, my sister's first word was the four letter S-Word. My mom and her were in the kitchen one day and my sister knocked a bowl of cheerios off the high chair. She looked at my mom, smiled and went "four letter S-Word!!!!!" I hope that you guys get to make it back to Germany, but in the meantime enjoy your experiences in Japan. I have seen so many wonderful views of Europe from your videos these past two years. It's been a fabulous tour, all from my armchair! All that delicious food! I had several ideas for replicating some of it at home, for example Käsespätzle as Tanner was so enthusiastic. It was so sad to watch you make your way down the tunnel to the plane at the airport. great video. Emotional and the collage of all your trips made me again aware to be blessed to live in the heart of Europe with all those options to travel easily by train, car or plane. I've been from Greece to Portugal and Northern Norway.. not everywhere but i've seen a lot and those pictures reminded where i still need to go soon. I passed the Dolomiten by on my way to Italy so many times, I am almost ashamed to admit i never have been stopping by once... shame on me. Those pictures were breathtakingly beautiful. Scotland and Iceland are high on my to do list as well. So Germany kept you a day longer... a sign ?? ;-) we wouldn't wanna let you go.. As i saw you exploring Europe and got no clue about life in Japan, I am actually pretty excited to see how you gonna adapt to this culture which many so either love it or got difficulties with. There is a Japanese guy on youtube reels who does shorts with foreigners and Japanese people about Japan and cultural differences and how foreigners, either tourists or people who live in Japan, sometimes for many years, evaluate life in Japan. I've been watching it for months now, without knowing you will end up in Japan, so i'm curious to see how you're doing. It will definitely an experience to be excited to, an adventure.Hope you're doing fine and only miss Europe, when the time in Japan is over... All the best for the holidays and 2024 !
