Big difference between California and Texas…even in the summer. We just keep getting warmer/hotter throughout the day and in CA the temperature drops as soon as the sun goes down. It took my mom some time to adjust to that when she moved to TX. She was so used to sleeping with her windows open in the summer. I loved watching this. I have the opposite feeling to you with this being my home park and having been there soooo many times throughout my life - I know every nook and cranny and it all feels almost as familiar as my own home. Have loved watching it change and grow throughout the years!

Maryland is more like California in this way. We slept with our windows open a LOT growing up and now, in Texas, we never do. I did honestly miss warm evenings. I love walking through Disney on a warm evening! Layers are definitely the name of the game! 💯

So glad you are enjoying your trip. I am 70 and started going to Disneyland when I was 7. We were Pass-holders and as I started my own family we built wonderful memories at Disneyland. I didn’t go to WDW until 2020 and since we moved to Louisiana from California I have been every year. They are so different and one of the things I love about Disneyland is it is very manageable. By the way where you had lunch used to be a Peter Pan themed wine bar. Enjoy!

I know I am biased as a native Californian, but I love the ease of Disneyland. You can can walk everywhere, park hop, and it is just so simple. We have stayed onsite so many times, but have also stayed at properties walking distance from the park. It just is a super simple fun time compared to Disney World which takes much more planning. The weather is good too-little to no humidity. Just a quick walk to the parks and and simple.

I would love to go to Disneyland! Like you said, just to get that 1st time thrill of seeing all the park for the first time and knowing that is where Walt started his dream! I would love that!! It’s fun getting to see it through your adventure! 😊❤

Ahhh! I’m so glad you loved Disneyland Hotel and that you were in the Fantasy tower! I love checking out the Adventureland, Frontier and Discovery (the DVC) towers because the lobbies are all themed differently Can’t wait to see the next vlog 🥳

I just went to Disneyland for the first time this past September. It is magical! That area you ate lunch in is for weddings and events. In fact we were walking to the park and saw a bride doing photos behind adventure tower and then we had to stop to wait for the horse drawn carriage to go by crossing the road to go through security!

Yayyyyy! Disneyland Lamb vlogs! We were in the fantasy tower too but our view was of the parks! Also the “it’s just pretend” reminder on Snow White, I was like uh oh the witch part! (Super sad when WDW got rid of this ride tho!)

I’m so excited you guys are finally in Disneyland!! You’re going to have the best time and so lucky to be in Fantasy tower! Was slightly cringing when you guys were in Pizza Planet, we do not love the food 😅. If you have time, take the log raft over to Tom Sawyer Island. The kids can run around and go in little caves, it’s pretty cool!

Hahahaha--had several people swear Pizza Planet is the best ever and several say to skip it. We tried it--it was fine, not amazing but not gross either! Next time, we'll definitely have to go to Tom Sawyer Island. Not sure if it's exactly like WDW but those caves straight terrify me lol
