I bought a piece of land in Italy 5 years ago. Exactly the same as you, no electricity, a bell tent and basically hardly anything here. If you stick at it, you’ll learn a million things you need to know through trial and error. I now have a cabin, wood mill, woodworking studio, shower room, loads of comfortable areas, vegetable garden and loads of animal pens. Each one made from the land, each one was daunting to make at the start. Just slow and steady and try and build to last first time. Wouldn’t trade this life for anything as hard as it can be. The first year is always the hardest.

You should buy a cheap portable gas stove (Clas Ohlson has a good one), gonna be much more efficient than making a fire everytime.

You are going to be sharpening that chain alot so learn how to do it well and quickly. More short sharpenings is better than letting it get dull. I would say once a day. To bad you don't have any moving water to produce power from.

One tip is to buy A Electric Motor for the boat it is gonna make transportation much easier

Again realy interesting video. I like the Tent a lot. I would recommend to buy a semi professionel electronic chainsaw from Stihl or Husqvarna. Yeah theyre not cheap but especially for building the cabin it would be a good investment! Keep it up :)

Those tent stakes that come with the tent are absolute JUNK, invest in better, thicker ones - first decent wind storm your whole tent will blow away and be in the lake, also maybe tie a cpl ropes around the base of a nearby tree and thru some tent eye-holes in case she does come loose when youre away for the week back at home....
