What is a creative relationship to you? Also calling all my creatives!! I am looking for a social media manager (someone who can legally get paid in America), if you're interested please visit my site AND I am also looking for a full-time executive assistant in LA for someone else - you can visit the same page for more information on that. This is the first place I am starting my job search because I value this community so much!

Years ago I attended a Faith based conference and one of the classes I signed up for was called "Children Of Destiny -- What's In A Name". I can tell you more about it if you're interested. However, the reason I mentioned it is because I'm wondering what does your daughter name mean. You may have told us in an earlier video that I missed. If so, please tell us again.

I agree with your definition. It's about adapting as time goes on, involves growing together, and sometimes apart hopefully where you come together again (like working abroad or having a major illness or accident). But it's finding ways to make up a life that you're both fairly involved in and making it work. It won't always be 'happy' but there's a contentedness that allows for trust and communication and togetherness. I didn't think of describing relationships that way before, it was just how I thought of it. But saying creative, and being able to further define it seems useful to better explain what I expect to potential partners so I'm glad you brought it up.

You gave a good explanation. I think creativity is basically going by the seat of your pants with a purpose. No matter what life throws at you, its figuring it out together and trusting one another to work through it despite the uncertainty of the challenges. BTW I'm checking out that position on your site!

@@ladylocs2xcel actually I do!! So if I’ve noticed that my wife and I haven’t had time to talk much ( between our jobs and the kids we get busy) I take a moment and find time to sit down and ask her if there is anything she wants to talk about. ( this should be done by both parties IMO) also date night at least one night minimum a month helps relationships. For my wife and I it helps our relationship and gets us away from the kids and helps us stay connected 😊 hope all that makes sense and was helpful advice.

It takes intense self-awareness to comprehend your own need to have the "perfect relationship" and identify the times you try to force it or ignore issues to keep up the appearances. It's soooo healthy to recognise this in yourself, and shift your attitude towards one where you don't have to have the perfect relationship but you can be resourceful and flow with the times

This is the first time I’ve heard the term “Creative Relationship” but to me it sounds like a relationship where the two find new ways to to flourish as the dynamics change. A relationship where you thrive on and place a primary focus on coming up with new, innovative and creative ways to feed each other spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. Holistically really. So that no matter what the circumstances are, the relationship is still going to thrive. Also Shan is just already such a natural at being a mother! On the first kid! What a deeply informative and soulful conversation. I would love to know more about each of your anxieties being parents as a result of your personal family experiences. I align very closely with Jared’s background of family and it makes me fear becoming a parent one day because I don’t want to accidentally fall into the same patterns my family set for me when I was growing up. 100% feel you on the fear of being a parent and repeating those very patterns! My upbringing has really made me doubt myself in adulthood and fear the notion of becoming a parent myself. Because my parents thought they did the best they could. I'm terrified that I would think I was doing my best, only for my child to secretly be carrying so much pain like I have.
@Alexa-ri3re
@Alexa-ri3re 3 жыл бұрын
@@RealElongatedMuskrat Yes! You completely understand where I’m coming from. I always frame it this way: My goal (should I have children) will be to love them in the way they receive love. To be curious about them and learn them well enough to be able to discern how they best receive love. People often talk about how hard it is to be a parent and they reference all the money that goes into it: house, school, food, after school activities, summer,... But, from my own experiences and from what I have seen from others, it’s the emotional expense that is the most costly. Being patient, when you don’t feel it. Being caring, when you don’t feel like it. Being supportive, kind, understanding, PRESENT, when your attention is elsewhere... those are the hard parts. I think being able to maintain those consistently is what makes a good parent.

THIS!!!!! THIS!!!!! THISSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! We NEED more of this from out in to the universe because it’s so valid and relatable!! Creating boundaries on how we fight. Sharing the stories we tell ourselves with the other person. That is so important! We ALL have those internal conversations about a situation we’re in. If we don’t communicate that with each other, miscommunication is guaranteed and we will miss out on a better connection and constant growth. Thank you BOTH for being vulnerable and brave to take us on your journey to a greater relationship. I LOVE IT and am so hear for it!! ♥️🥰🥰

This is relatable content for me and my husband as we made our journey into parenthood three yrs ago. We're still processing our experiences of the first 7 months of parenthood until this day. Haha. Thank y'all for sharing this intimate journey. Wishing you all the love, patience, health and connectedness that this universe has to offer. Also, creativity means to me, the ability to adapt, change and be flexible which results in a creation of a new norm, new/enhanced connection and/or transition.

Listen. I love you two. Well, you three now with Ryu added ❤️❤️❤️. I appreciate real-life married folk convos and the love you have for your family is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your journey! 🙌🏽 A creative relationship is an adaptable one; motivated by the understanding that it’s ok to change with your loving partner to accommodate the climate you’re in together. Making moves together when needed, even if it’s not 50/50. It’s like customizing your relationship to balance whatever is lacking or even overcompensated.

Hey Shan and Jared ! So happy for you. 2020 has been terrible for me so I’ve been taking time off social media a lot. But I am soooo happy for y’all and happy you’re letting us in the journey. Even tho 2020 has been horrible, I’m still glad beautiful things can still happen.

The ending was so beautiful, I love hearing Shan express her love. I relate to Shan talking about wanting the relationship to maintain a level of happiness. I’m the same way (probably worse) my parents had a horrific marriage and now I’m in a Beautiful one and I panic when we falter. I believe creative is a relationship that ebbs and flows with the natural ups and downs of life but with the foundation of respect and commitment. I hope to achieve that and stop being so afraid of becoming my parents.

Jared sound like a awesome husband and father.. The fact that he is always thinking about Shan is wonderful to witness. I didn't get the same consideration when I had my kids. And I was married. But he was and still is a selfish person.

I REALLY sympathise with you. However, I'd advise you to not say anything negative about your husband online cause the vultures aka side chicks are watching and waiting cause in their small minds they think they can appreciate him better than you🙄
