Sinulog 2024 in Cebu Philippines was unbelievably crazy. The parties, the dancing and the amazing good vibes all around are so special. We really love the Philippines and all it has to offer. Pit Señor to everyone watching this Sinulog vlog!

My 1st trip to the Philippines 2001 and I fell in love with it. I was here 3 times 3 wks in a 9 month span. 2004 was our 1st time as a family. My Filipina wife and daughter . Went to the Black Nazarene parade. Fast forward to 2010 when we moved here from the US. We are so glad we made the move believe me. Stay healthy. Ingat po.

If you received face painting it is very welcoming and they love to see you and being part of the festival, welcome to the lovely fun, more painting more enjoyment and fun ! that is why they recommend you to wear clothes ready and just okey to be painted as well, as your face etc. ❤

Our 1st time in Sinulog too. We stayed in Cebu for 5 days, we did a lot of things but we made sure to see the parade on the final feast day. We woke up early to go view the parade at almost 9am went to the South road properties. At first we hung outside the SM City Seaside for hours but the Securiry Guard keeps on announcing that the parade won’t be around the area, some people stayed there because SM Seaside was normally the people hangs out to view the parade. It was 2pm and NO Parade yet so we walked further and found out the parade started on the other side. We finally saw few floats with the crowded inspectators realizing it’s almost the end of it. The dissapointments I saw on the people still waiting on the side of SM. The fun time is walking back to the Hotel with thousands of inspectators. My husband and I had so much fun and good experience in Cebu 🥰 We love Cebu ❤

Back in the days, charcoal or black ashes were used to smear on people's faces but it became more colorful and improvised with face paints through the years. It's traditionally and highly part of Sinulog Festival's celebration to be smeared with paints or anything makes people messy✌. Have fun and enjoy your Cebu, Philippines journey.

Next time, if you're looking for a street party during Sinulog, you should go to Mango Avenue from afternoon to night. There are lots of activities that you couldn't expect.

My go to EDC back then when visiting the Philippines and roaming around are: Bench cologne (bought at Bench store to keep fragrant), facial wipes for sweat as it is moist (helps to remove dust on face), Gum to keep mouth salivated, bottle of water, under-arm deodorant and a face towel and Toilet wipes for the restrooms or “C.R.” Consider these always. Get yourself a sling bag to carry these at all times.

The man selling the fruit shake was trying to say that your face paint made you look like a messy/monster, but they don't intend to say that you don't look good.
