Some friendly advice when travelling in the bush. Don't be one of those "It will never happen to me" people. Properly stow food away from campsite and always carry bear spray. Great vids.

Just watched a few videos from other vanlifers and the first thing I notice a few seconds into this video is overall quality. Your editing skills are immersive. The intro makes it feel like more then a youtube video. Absolutely Love the electronic dance music uplifting and exciting! Even the attention to framing at the beginning, Aubry, when you zoom in on your face. It all adds to the experience of the viewer. Your efforts are appreciated; Thank You One Love and Safe Travels~

LOVE THIS! It reminds me of the first time my husband and I went backpacking. We flew across the Atlantic, with ZERO experience but all the right gear and took on The Wicklow Way in Ireland with backpacks and tents. Unfortunately, the internet in 2010 was not what it is now and we somehow missed that there is no proper camping on The Wicklow Way! Most people day-hike and stay in B&Bs for the night. Long story short, we FROZE and slid around on wet inclines nights. That said, the views, people, food, and experiences were beautiful, tasty, and charming. We are dying to take our four little vegan kiddos but those hikes were intense and long! Maybe in another few years! I'm looking forward to more "Our First Time" vids from you guys!

You guys always make me smile. By the way, I don't know what your subscriber base is, but I'm old. So now, if you didn't know before, you know that it is NOT just Millennials. (I have 5 kids, youngest is 16 and next one up is 28...not going to tell you the rest of the ages but.....) I love hiking and camping and never used a mat of any kind to sleep on, but it looked a bit rocky where you were. LOVE waterfalls and that Lake WAS AMAZING!

Nice! I've been backpacking my whole life and have been lucky enough to take a bunch of friends on their first trips :D I just started doing videos about them and am really enjoying it so expect to see more! Side note: I saw ya'll eating in the tent aaannnddd that's not the greatest idea, animals (like bears) can smell that and might come by to see if there are more tasty snacks in there. So be careful and keep food 100+ feet away from the tent, preferably in a bearbag in a tree!

I love the "try something new everyday" because that's something I try to live by. If not everyday, then maybe once a week ;) Love your vlogs, keep it going.

I have camped with a hammock before and actually prefer it to tent camping!! a couple things to consider though is you want the hammock to be very taut (which it didn't seem like it was in the video). It has helped me sleep a lot better through the night when camping and I don't wake up with back pain anymore. Also I always sleep with a sleeping bag in my hammock now. I tried blankets and warm clothes as an alternative, but it never works out well (but they do make great additions if you have a sleeping bag already). I've luckily never run into rain while camping with my hammock, but you can always use a tarp (you can buy a rain tarp specifically for hammocks, but I find those to be a bit more than i'm willing to spend). Hope this helps!! (:

Oh man, I have an older version of your exact tent and it's tight in there with 2 people! Also, it was probably a joke but please make sure you follow the backcountry rules and hang your food in bear country!! Not only for your safety but the bears, when a bear gets habituated to human food they seek out people, which ends up getting them killed because suddenly they are a danger. But anyways, backpacking is the best - check out the Superior Hiking Trail if you are ever in MN.

Lol, When I started tent camping ... I drilled it into my 4 children's mine. (DO NOT EVER, EVER... LEAVE YOUR TENT UNZIPPED....ALWAYS KEEP IT ZIPPED)' so that nothing would crawl there.... I keep reminding them that ... (I was always reminding them like I was a broken record) Lol. Don't want to be sleeping with any snakes. :( Looks you need a bigger tent hahaha.

If you're in bear countryman your backpacking, you should really hang all your smellys no less than about 15 feet off the ground. (Food, toiletries, anything that's flavored or scented) to make sure beats a not attracted to your tent in the night. Just a concerened person.

If you ever find yourself in yoho valley NP in Canada, you have to backpack and stay in the Stanley Mitchell hut! It was the most amazing experience of my life and my first backpacking trip. It’s nice because you don’t have to pack tents and much gear. I hiked from the whiskey jack hostel and did a loop around with a detour up the whaleback trail. Seriously look into it. Everyone needs to have their moment out there
