If I remember correctly they interviewed Kim about this song. She said back when her and Em were still friends she went to one of his concerts with all of her best friends and he promised her he wouldn't play this song. And I think the very first song of that concert he played was "Kim". Not only that he brought out a blow up doll that looked like her and beat it up in front of everyone. Its messed up how he used to say that he wanted to kill her, honestly he didnt sound very safe back then, he could get drunk and get pissed one day and actually shoot her out of anger. Happens all the time unfortunately. You definitely can't go around saying you want to kill someone now. And I'm sure he told her that he will kill her many times in the past, if she has that in tape then she could have definitely charged him for making threats. He was definitely crazy back then

This song would be banned and censored by our over sensitive society today. It's not like the fans of this song would ever do this, unless their name was Stan, but I'm sure we've all had these thoughts for a split second at least once in our lives. Men and women. It's no more than a split second thought drawn out to become a whole song. Brilliant. "A lot of people think that what I say on a record Or what I talk about on a record That I actually do in real life or that I believe in it Or if I say that I wanna kill somebody That I'm actually gonna do it or that I believe in it Well, shit, if you believe that, then I'll kill you You know why? True. I thought the same. But Dre being an artist knows more than anybody else that hip hop is your happinesses, sadnesses and pains. There was no better place for Em’s feelings to be executed other than into a microphone. A woman can allow a man to cheat a hundred times and forgive him but a woman cheats one time on a man, that will crush him! It makes no sense but it's true. Em artistically paints the emotions of how a man really feels inside after being cheated on by a girl he fell for. His ability to tell a story and to formulate his emotions is unmatched. I've only heard this song when it first came out and never wanted to hear it again 😂 but as a mature adult, I can dissect his emotions and words clearly now and understand the dark place he's coming from. Women, men hold so many emotions back and this is how it would look if we didn't hold back 🤷🏽‍♂️ thank God for restraints and self-control 🙌🏽

wasn't this around the time that Em found out Kim cheated with another guy that got her pregnant. Then the guy ran away... Then Em invited Kim to the show, but only played the first 10 seconds of the song. Kim ran away from the show and went home to slit her wrist... Then was admitted to the hospital, after recovery did drugs and was admitted to the psychiatric hospital. Then Em adopted Kim's second daughter. Also when Em's cousin had a child and couldn't take care of her, Em took her in as well. Apparently Em made this song after finding out Kim Cheated on Em, and Em took LSD which exaggerated his emotional pain and made this song... Most of the song is not real, except when she cheated on him. The song actually is a metaphor about how he feels when Kim Cheated on him and the anger he was experiencing at the time of this music video.

So dark yet so good. This is probably the 10th or 11th best track on the greatest rap album of all time. Nothing touches The Marshall Mathers LP. On a sidenote if this is actually a first time reaction to the song, DMX is another top three and you gotta run down “Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood”…

Lack for a better word, as a kid, this song used to excite me. I understand that it’s a very poor choice of a word to use but this song definitely heighten my senses. I’ve never heard of a song ever in my life that painted the situation, as if it was happening, live, like a live Broadway show. The audacity for this song to exist is what baffles me. And I was an Eminem fan back then, I still like his stuff, but I find myself less and less interested . Now, when I hear this song, I get the same goosebumps, but me listening, and having this scenario painted in my head is what frightens me and creates a sense of dread and sorrow. I felt so much emotion, like I wanted to cry, like I felt bad for both, the character of Eminem and the character of Kim in this made up scenario. I think it was a good thing that I heard this song as a kid, because never once did, I ever relate to his situation, and I think, seeing situations like this in real life from the outside is what helped teach me how to handle certain situations better when weaker men could only find an extreme and sometimes violent solution. This song was a cautionary tale for me, for things that I have not allowed to happen yet, and I’ve had girlfriends here and there push my buttons, but never enough to bring out something like this and me. Love this song or hate this song, doesn’t matter this is a piece of art whether we like it or not.

The sequel to this song is called 97” Bonnie and Clyde off of Eminem’s-the slim shady lp
@zombiegoatt4282
@zombiegoatt4282 2 жыл бұрын
You should do the song 97 Bonnie and Clyde it connects back to this song. Also this song is a mental breakdown fantasy song. A lot of people don't realize this song is Slim Shady killing Marshall Mathers. It's like he is lost in the character Slim Shady and starts thinking it's really him. He got the probation for hitting the guy he saw Kim kissing a bouncer at a nightclub. The probation was from Eminem having a gun that fell out while he hit the bouncer. Eminem isn't legally aloud to own a gun. Eminem has a song explaining how the smartest thing he did was not loading that gun on that day. Also some people might be confused about the son with a slit throat not connecting back to Marshall. That represents the future Marshall and Kim could of had that is now gone. The kid isn't real but fantasy of their future.
