Hotshot television anchorman, Ron Burgundy welcomes upstart reporter Veronica Corningstone into the male-dominated world of 1970s broadcast news until the talented female journalist outshines Burgundy on air. Soon he grows jealous, begins a bitter feud with Veronica, and eventually makes a vulgar slip on live TV that ruins his career. However, when an outrageous story breaks at the San Diego Zoo, Ron may get a chance to redeem himself.

Baxter is named after Ted Baxter who was an air headed anchorman on the Mary Tyler Moore television show in the 70's. The era this movie is set in.

Have you guys seen "Talladega Nights" or "the Other Guys"? Both are very very funny Will Ferrel movies. It would be cool to see you continue your Will Ferrel journey. Talladega Nights stars Will Ferrel and John C Reilly (the guy who starred in Step Brothers with him).

Will Farrell's comedic character Anchorman Ron Burgundy is hilarious. Glad they made this character come from my hometown! In real life, Farrell is a fan of my hometown and even owns a summer home somewhere there. Comic-Con International is also a bonus for him whenever he chooses to be there as part of a panel or simply going incognito among the unknowing attendees.

The little girl at Sea World was played by Pearl McKay, daughter of writer and director Adam McKay. Pearl, her dad, and Will Ferrell also teamed up for the short film "The Landlord" which was released on the KZfaq channel "Funny or Die." It is hysterically funny and has a gazillion views. Recommend the uncensored one, and then watching the outtakes.

FYI. San Diego does not mean "Whales Vagina" haha pretty cool history about it with Catholics and missions being built here. But honestly being from San Diego, it was so awesome seeing a movie centered around this beautiful city and seeing the landmarks like the Coranado Bridge (the one where Jack Black kicked Baxter off). Great video!
