My inability to warn you in time of impending chirpy bird doom will haunt my dreams until the day I die. Seriously though, it's not just RAM that throws in the garbage bearings it's pretty much every major clutch manufacturer. They really shouldn't include them at all, but they want it to look like a one purchase kit for a great value... The Ford Performance Throwout bearing is your friend. It isn't cheap, but for good reason. Great job getting it going, it's looking and sounding killer. those seats are a huge improvement. 👍

Hey my throw out bearing is chirping as well will it hurt my transmission or just an easy fix??
@NGG19834 ай бұрын
@@Guitarguy0522 it's separate from the transmission running on the input shaft outside the case so it couldn't hurt the internals in any way. to be honest im not sure if it could hurt the input shaft, i dont think so, it's just super annoying and will burn itself up over time with friction. to be certain it is the throwout bearing and not somthing else, with the engine running and the sound happening, press the clutch until the bearing starts to make contact with the pressure plate, if the noise goes away or changes, it's the throwout bearing. to fix it the the driveshaft will have to come out and the transmission pulled back off to access the bearing attached to the Clutch release lever it's mounted on.
@Guitarguy05224 ай бұрын
@@NGG1983 thanks bud I appreciate the reply and when I start it it’s quiet warms up a bit it chirps and little and yeah if i press the clutch in just a tiny bit it goes away instantly and yeah it’s supper annoying I rebuilt my 94 svt cobra with a lot of hp added it’s stoked high compression heads and a lot more and just drives me crazy after putting so much money into having it sound like that it’s a cheap fix I’m assuming but a pain in the ass to replace it 🤦🏻♂️

Hey Brother, awesome videos! Put a Holley Terminator X on it and you will not regret it. Also since you have a nicely built engine now, all you need to do is add some boost to it and hang on! Either way, if you decide to do a 351W or boost or both, you'll be ready to tune it with the Holley. I have a 1992 deep emerald green coupe that I bought brand new in 1992! It's got about 50,000 miles on it now. I had heads, cam and intake done some 25 years ago and finally last year I added the Terminator X Max and a Vortech V3 SI and she is really spicy now! I had my car parked for about 15 years and just pulled it out a couple of years ago, and yeah dumped a bunch of cash into it. I have one video of my car on my channel if you want to check it out. I spent another $7K this year on new Billet specialties rims, some new Steeda weight jacker control arms, new 3" pypes and a bunch of other crap. Never ending money pit, but I love my car! Cheers!

Good job man. That was quick. Pretty similar build to mine only I used p heads and a Comp Cam. As far as the idle quality goes, I ran into the same issue. Base idle resets and not setting the idle too low helped a lot. About 800 is the sweet spot for my cam. I also had an issue where the idle would surge when it went in closed loop. I expected a vacuum leak but after smoking it and finding no leaks I tossed some O2 sensors in it and it cleared it right up.

Great work, really enjoying the series. I wish you'd give more detail on what you're doing cause I like to learn, but I expect that would be a lot more work for you to film. As for what to do, the question I have for you is what is your goal? Then figure out how you'd like to achieve it given your budget. For example, I have a stock motor '86 with a cracked head that I want to get to 11.5 but as an otherwise complete street car. So how to do it? Maybe you'd build a carb car, but I've never run a carb. Heads/intake alone won't do it on this car, plus it has those 1-year-only flat top pistons, so N/A isn't simple. I guess I'm much more comfortable bolting stuff on than building, so I was thinking the On3 turbo kit with a microsquirt. There's a really good tech I've seen tune that system by remoting into the customer's laptop computer machine. Microsquirt way cheaper and easier to install than the Holley. (If you're interested, check out Donny B. He's used both.) I'm open to suggestions...
