He has gone before us as an offering for the remission of sin. He has torn the veil; He is our new High Priest for whom there is no substitution - pastor nor priest; Bo false prophet nor apostle can stand Him and His people, but instead He shall be to us our High Priest who has given unto God the final atoning sacrifice, reading the veil once and for all that we may enter through the holiest of holies and know His face; that our sacrifice of self may be pleasing unto the Lord of Hosts, seeing as He has gone before us to mediate the new and better promise of the new covenant. Let us not put Him to shame nor sacrifice for ourselves again the Son of God by placing Him below and setting ourselves as god and king nor by setting mere mortal men as shepherds and teachers over ourselves, thereby professing that they should somehow mediate between God and man - Nay! Let us instead draw near to Jesus, the High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek whose blood speaks better things than that of Abel’s.
