Because the NDP are the party of socialist ideas. They believe in the equality of outcomes meaning every person in the country should be the same. If a person makes more money that money should be taken from the government to be given to someone else to create balance. Ex. "No person should have a Versace bag unless everyone can have a Versace bag".
