Wilford Brimley was such a great man, I mean he had that rough and tough attitude and was grumpy sometimes, but deep down, it seemed liked he truly cared alot and was a class act! Just my opinion.

@@KimberlyThomason aha! That’s where I’ve seen him. In those oatmeal commercials. Brings back so many childhood memories.

True. He usually type cast as a grandfatherly type character in this series, as well as 1980's Quaker Oats commercials, and movies such as Cocoon, Where the Red Fern Grows, among others. However, in the 1993 movie, "The Firm" based on the John Grisham novel, he is not a nice old man at all.
@marcusmedlock84711 ай бұрын
Wilford Brimley was one of the greats for sure. Similar to Chuck Connors playing the part of Lucas McCain, this part seems easy for Mr. Brimley to play because Gus Witherspoon’s personality is much his personality in real life. A fatherly man that never says anything he doesn’t mean. Gruff exterior, but full of love and wisdom. If you try to hurt his loved ones, you’ve got a BIG problem.

I liked him in those Quaker Oatmeal commercials, especially this one I recently found on KZfaq that he did with Thora Birch when she was only 4, she was such a cutie pie! By the way, I remember first finding out that she (Thora Birch) did a movie with Elijah Wood, who played The Good Son's cousin.

@@anthonybrooks6794 I was curious too so I looked it up. Low ratings (because it aired on Sundays and was in competition with higher rated shows in that time slot, like 60 Minutes) I love this show, I was 10 too when it first aired. I used to watch it every Sunday night with my parents.

It’s so cool seeing this show again. As a kid I loved it so so much. And taught me something as a 12/13 year old, that kids across the pond led very similar lives to ours. And then in 89 I met Chad Allen. I still have his autograph. He was a somber kid back then, almost depressed. But took the time to sigh a head shot of himself. And I still treasure it. I’d always high he’d be the best A-lister but instead he stopped acting and became a psychologist, a second career. I hope he’s happy and feels fulfilled in his new job.

if anyone asked me if I could describe the curbside painters...I would say they looked like a couple of hunks.
@kennyrudolph3539 Жыл бұрын
Yes, the two curbside painters you're referring to are Christopher Bradley and Todd Bryant. They are both actors and Christopher is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He then went to TCU in Fort Worth, TX where he studied pre-med and then deciding to change his major to theatre and become an actor. Christopher has worked with some of the most accomplished actors/actresses of all time. He has worked with Shannon Doherty, Wilford Brimley, Daphne Zuniga, Denzel Washington, Charlie Sheen, Michael J. Fox, David Carradine, Brad Dourif, and Ted Levine just to name several. As for Todd, he was an actor too before going on to become a long time professional stunt man in Hollywood. I sure hope that all that information helps you. 📺🎬🎥🎞️🎭🎫🎟️

@@kennyrudolph3539 they are both good actors they really made you want to hate them in this.
@kennyrudolph3539 Жыл бұрын
@@tiffanygrever8092 Especially because that's the definition of a good actress/actor. The ability to deceive and fool people even though you are simply portraying a fictional character that doesn't exist in true life. The better you are at fooling people, the better actor/actress you will become. As a matter of fact, I saw Christopher Bradley in another movie in which he played a dying cancer patient who didn't have much longer to live. But that's why it's called acting. 📺🎬🎥🎞️🎭🎫🎟️
