These words do not originate from Hungary tho, they are loan words from other languages from the modern world. So no, it is not the Hungarian language. We just 'megmagyarosítottuk'.

@@noraheist Yepp, and according to my knowledge (source: hungarian grammar book) there are less than 1000 "hungarian" words. When I say hungarian words I mean the words that weren't in any way influenced/changed by other languages and cultures throughout the centuries of language evolution.

@@ol4yosh436 However, I gotta add that linguists don't know for sure about the number of Hungarian words out there, and all of them says different estimates from about 1000 words to 60,000. So I wouldn't jump to conclusions.

I am Hungarian and we have the same linguistical roots as the Finnish. As long as I can remember our history, our tribes split around 1100 years ago and we (Hungarians) travelled westwards, while them (Finnish) travelled northwards. We pretty much think on each others as brothers and sisters.

​@gaborszadai1992 the first time I heard this was our landlord... I'd just arrived a day prior and apparently my sister had told them I'm good with technology. So Basci comes up and starts asking me in very fast Hungarian how to fix it! I was barely conversational at best and my sister was at work😂 he just kept saying "wifi! Wifi!" And I was so confused...thinking it was a word I'd never learned. Finally he just dragged me downstairs, literally by my arm 😂and gestured at his computer and router. I immediately realize! Ohhhh. The wifi is out and he wants me to fix it. I did, after grabbing my phone for translation and telling him what to do... I'll say that was probably the most hilarious language barrier I've ever dealt with 😂😂😂❤
