In 1997 My family and I were still settling into a new home in a new City. Inside of me I held an inner pain that I was too ashamed to tell anyone. Not my husband, nor any member of my family. It was impossible for anyone to know of it without reading my mind. More than two decades later I will share it now. I was then a mother of 8 children, many still small. I love children and love my own so very much. In this new City, I would take them out to parks and places as you do, but so often other women would stare and whisper. Sometimes I heard comments like "She must be a crazy lady, who an earth wants to have eight children." At first I felt sorry for them, but when similar things happened I thought about the comments whispered and a thought came: "May be loving being a mother of eight young children is not normal, perhaps there is something wrong with me." This is why I could not share these thoughts that plagued me. Hid them well and it never changed my way of being a mother. Anyway, two Sisters, from the Order of the Sisters of Providence, dear friends and god mothers to our children came to our home one evening. Usually they telephoned before coming, but not this one time. One of these Sisters was Mother Superior. She had been asked to go to Medjugorje to spend some time with the visionaries there, which she did. She had just returned and came to my home where she spoke to me alone apart from another Sister. She said that following an apparition, one of the visionaries, I shall not say which one, came to her and gave her a message to bring to the family she visits ........ she was given a message from Our Lady meant for me. "Do not feel ashamed or embarrassed because of the number of children you have. Instead, pray for those who have not been so blessed." It is impossible for the Sisters to have known this little niggle feeling that haunted me with shame. You can imagine how horrified I felt at even thinking such a thing, even questioning. Only one who could know my mind, my heart could know. It was a personal message and it healed me. I began to feel sorry for those women who whispered horrible comments, looking at children as if they were a curse. I cannot doubt what is taking place here. I have never been there and yet I received from there a miracle, a spiritual hug from Our Blessed Mother.

I find it strange that the Church has taken so long to fully investigate this matter. Pope Francis seems unconvinced, claiming that he sees Mary as the Mother of the Church and not the Mother of the Post Office, delivering weekly messages.
